I find the standard Splatrball blasters just fine for basic plinking fun. Too little too late, Hasbro.

Nerf's best blasters were the Rival line, specifically the Nemesis & Perses, as runner up, the line that produce the Stampede, can't remember that line's name.
The only problem of course with the Rvial line was how do you top that, how do you top GREATNESS?! 😅

If they did half length darts, and had them at higher velocities, I'd totally be interested, especially because they are good at making visually appealing blasters, but I could not care less about gel blasters tbh

I've got the Nebula Pro. I picked it over this mainly because of how the ammo is stored. Internal hoppers ftw. Oh and it hits quite a bit harder.
I was actually looking at the Gel Blaster Surge and Starfire to be honest, if i was going to get into gel blasters that is.. i like the idea of glowing rounds exploding lol

I'll probably pick up some gel blasters at some point to try them out.
There was no way in heck I was gonna spend the money they want for gel ball blasters. However, a pair of Spat-R-Ball units showed up at a local thrift store, so now I have some. It was an SRB-375 MINI and an SRB-400. Neither of them came with a battery charger, but the 375 did have a battery, whereas the 400 was sans battery and its battery compartment door and had no mag or stock. I got them for $4.99 each, so even after replacing missing components, this will still be quite cheap.
Also, my local paintball field runs gel ball wars, so there's always that option for getting some use out of them.
For an entry level battery-free thing, dunno. Feels it's kinda good? Especially as new on Amazon is 13$ rn.
Likely would be a good entry level for younger people, also far better for parents getting ammo for them because how economical gel ammo is

I think the charging handle thing on the top best serves an akimbo play style if that’s more viable
Current running price is sixteen at Walmart and Amazon which makes it a great price as a Xmas novelty gift. Best thing about this set is that your average recipient will likely tire of this long before he/she runs out of ammo.
I've had about zero interest in Gel blasters but for sub $20 I might give it a try
I will pick one up jb it's a better Springer than the full auto mythic but like you said it's a better side arm that would go along with it maybe even with the tracer rds and mock silencer to attach make it sleeker
With a bit of paint it with a second one could be used as guns in a Red Hood cosplay, minus the ammo use to Con Regulations
A bottom rail holster would be nice

Aside that nerf is also synonymous with foam. So slapping the name kind of just doesn't work. Especially when your side arm has to be manually pulled by to fire.

I saw this blaster at Target a few days ago, not in the Nerf section but amongst the mess that is the discount section. I thought I just missed the reviews and that the line ended up being the flop we all knew it was going to be.
Waste of a good design; it would have been pretty nice as a dart blaster.

I really don't know why u would want one of these unless u were just curious about gel blasters and didn't wanna get something at a higher price like a splatrball. Like u wouldn't be able to keep up with anyone else that has a aeg type blaster like a splatrball or something similar

I wouldn't be bothered by it being on sale. I mean I was one of the first to get a nemesis and it was released ON SALE. I don't think there's a rhyme or reason to it.

I just don't see the value in gelball. Airsoft seems like it'd be more fun if you wanna shoot bbs. I prefer the relative accuracy of nerf, and low magazine capacity, for my "play". Spamming bbs at each other is the worst part of airsoft, and thankfully a lot of fields heavily limit full auto.
I feel what would worry me the most is if my pets got them in the dehydrated version of the ammo and then they would expand in the stomach. I'm an adult and can keep it away from my pets but if kids didn't know better, could be very dangerous..and yah who knows if they are toxic or not. 🤢 I'd be surprised if gel last but what do I know! 😆
$20 is what it should have cost in the first place. The increased price was just to squeak out more money from any suckers they could ;)
Normally gel blasters like that are full auto electric, cannot believe Nerf went with a springer....
Why does this not have a Strongarm-style grip if it has slamfire? You're already at a disadvantage. It can become cool if someone figures out how to easily load multiple rounds so that you can shotgun it.
Probably won't be buying any Hasbro gel blasters. I'll probably go with something from Gel Zone, Splatrball, or Gel Blaster.

There's a serious problem with a blaster that can't shoot a target at 25 feet reliably. I'd take a Reflex 6 into a gel battle before using this.

I won't get into gel blasters and knew it from the start. This video further cements my refusal to engage with them. boring designs. Paintball-like top hoppers that make sights irrelevant. The fact that you can't pick up the rounds(once again JUST LIKE PAINTBALL). The variety in the guns is just not there like it is with dart shooters. And why would I get both when anyone I'd play with would already have dart blasters in the first place?
It's pointless. Gelfire is better on the airsoft field with younger children so as to better avoid injury. If your opponent has black clothing or paint on their costume they won't wanna get it wet and you can't track the hit the same like with paintball. So it's the middling between airsoft and paintball....yet takes away from what paintball is capable of making it no different than airsoft OTHER than the ugly hoppers and un-collectable rounds that you have to wait to use.

Cause Nerf sucks! And the shelves at Walmart have been fully stocked since last summer while barely moving, while adventure force section is depleted. No one is buying Nerf stuff, its over priced garbage and the fact that they continue to put out gimmicks and mash ups and collectively make those even worse but jack up price is just criminal. Ppl aren't wasting their money when they can get something for half the price that five Times better. They are seriously disconnected from the space and need to reinvent theirselves before they finish driving off the cliff!
