No it's not true that in many places in India like Odisa or South India, we get cheap food. Even the quality of food at Odisa govt Rs.5/- canteen is also nice in front of Bherampore station.
Many people argue about best cheap eats In India,but I personally think Kolkata is the best,variety, quality and quantity all is exceptional,love from Mumbai.
I am going to watch this just before bedtime. I hope I don't get hungry before I fall asleep but have pleasant dreams of visiting India one day and eating many street meals. I am rooting for India to be the best it can be.... it's an Asian Century! 👍🏼

Indeed, owner of this shop is great. He is so generous that even if you don't have money you can eat here. I have never come across such a person in my life time. I find it difficult to figure out the difference between Bengali, Assamese and Oriya, but reading the comments I think the guy is originally from Orissa but speaks Bengali well.
Because all East Indian language including Assamese have one common root(maghdi prakrit) and then they divereged at some point in history and developed independently,that's why you found the similarity.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Maithili and Nepali probably also are related languages. I'm from Goa and cannot understand the Kannada spoken just 1 hours drive from my native place but I can atleast understand what someone is trying to say if they're from remote Upper Assam, Nepal or even Rawalpindi. I am going to learn Kannada, then I should atleast be able to understand a tiny bit of Dravidian languages.

Even the writing system(anga lipi,tirhuta) was also similar to Bengali and Assamese but later devnagari was adopted in late 1800s. But Nepali ain't a eastern language but have commonality due to area. But most the language of bihar are also spoken in Nepal like ,angika, maithli,tharu.

Amazing thing is he did not even once keep any of the food items uncovered. Except during display. After serving he always closed the lid. Speaks about the hygeine. Looks to be great food overall. Healthy and tasty. How his business grows ..

Khichdi is a very easy recipe you will find many recipes on UA-cam about Khichdi .It is daily dinner food most of the home in Maharashtra also.

That is correct. Although, it is very difficult to differentiate between a Bengali person speaking Odia or an Odia speaking Bengali.
