He’s barrel chested and has short arms. That’s the specialized body for that exercise, the exact opposite of an NBA build Long arms would be an advantage for something like a deadlift, but Chet’s legs are so long, it doesn’t work that way. He just doesn’t have a good build for strength sports. He’s got a perfect build for basketball, though
It takes time to build muscle when you're running up and down the court everytime. It took Giannis a good 3-4 years to gain some muscle. I hope both Chet and Vic can build up there stature. I'm very excited for their rivalry for years to come - hopefully.
Good move by Thunder GM to get rid of Giddey who had pretty much redundant skillset to SGA and getting a complimentary role player like Caruso. Also acquiring Hartenstein to do the dirty work in the paint will help Chet's game tremendously as it will free him up.
You could tell he was tired late in the season by his 3 ball looking flat. Now he has Center help it should open up his offense especially if Thunder want to feature him and Dub together⚡️
He's good BUT he needs to gain some weight fast, he didn't even pick up any muscle or weight during the offseason! But he does have all-star potential.
