Just took her up in my XP-31 to fly some dailies. I'll say this, normally with my 10-point FJ-1 pilot, I'd be able to make myself a nice pair of seal-skin boots. With her at the stick, I could make a full-length coat, plus the boots.
I wallet warriored the P-39N-1 at the start of the year, and have been using Elise in it after I earned her (like the old Smith Barney commercial, I got her the old fashioned way. I earned her). I generally (so far, at least) don't move my special pilots with a mastery skill around tech tree planes (the Valkyeries, like Marina (in my IL-20) and Charlotte (in my Bf 109 Z), yes. I may move Elise at some point when she got a decent number of skill points. I do like the fact that her mastery skill doesn't replace Protection expert - you still get the benefits of that skill. Which leads me to consider a tank build on my P-51D at some point. Also, agree that the grind is worth it and if someone with my level of (lack of) skill can earn her, anyone can. I probably would have paid moeny for her if needed, though I skipped the last British special pilot and Cadman Miller (then again, I rarely fly bombers, so there wasn't much attraction for Caman for me).
Put her in the P-61 and if you tweek a maneuverability build, and take Elise out to dinner ;), you can get it turning at 70 then have pneumatic control... ...big surprise for fighters and other P-61's. Like the P-61 is not op enough already tho. I think her strength is what the maneuverability skill brings to other planes. Gonna try her in the Sabre...
I did a few battles with P-51D with Elise Clark and compared to P-51K her MG range buff seems to be useful. The maneuverability skill seems to make sense just as a overcompensation to losing maneuverability in a speed build. Full maneuverability build doesn't work well on P-51D IMO. On other planes her skills make more sense in maneuverability builds. If I had a way to use her in P-51K with her P-51D skill working I'd be pretty happy actually. Now I just have one more plane that is still meh even with special pilot. I haven't flown La-5, Me.410, A6M5, Tornado etc. dedicated pilot planes very much to be honest even though they all give some element of role play for specific style of playing them. It's not nothing, but really isn't much. P.S. Actually WG could have made her way more interesting by allowing that P-51 skill to work with both P-51A and P-51D (the P-51H would be too much probably) but having the choice between tier 6 and 7 would be rather more interesting.
I have a question: why fire resistance instead of firefighter? Also the 25% reduced crit effects is about when said module is red and yellow. If you didn't know when a module gets knocked out for the first time in a life it never actually recovers to full strength (even when in yellow) unless you repair it in the airfield. Battle tested and now this perk makes your plane perform better when said module gets knocked out (aka it's red) and neglects any debuff it has afterwards (when it's yellow).
@@PostalMonkey Don't say that, most people think that firefighter works only when doing a 360 degree turn, while in reality it needs efficient speed and to involve two axis in a manouver (for example doing a canopy roll). It's actually the best perk for fighters and high roll multiroles in the game, even better than engine guru and marksman.
Ironically, she's worth it, but not in the plane she was intended for. Her extra 4% in tiens makes the already bent p 61 truly broken. I'm tired of fighting against WG power creep. I've decided to train Elise all the way to 15 points in my P-61. If it breaks the game, so be it.
Why does it break the game? The P61 is strong as a multirole with no outboard weapons. As an energy fighter in terms of speed is poo poo. When doing the akamatsu I had a P61 revenge tailing me all game in my JL-1A and he died every time in the same way, hit and run away... The XP-54 is the only menace in the game right now and it either needs nerfs or to climb a tier...
@Dimitris Oikonomou so, a tier higher premium plane, which is also arguably overpowered can beat the p-61 it's not overpowered? Sounds like someone doesn't wantntheir favorite seal club nerfed. You know how you know the p 61 is op? You can't enter a tier 8 game without 2-4 of them in it. I'll be one of them, punishing players until they scream for a nerf or rage quit the game.
I actually think my regular P-61 pilot is better overall because you waste the 2 points and can't get protection expert. Elise is nice when you have to fight other P-61s though.
@@skunkbeard4205 didn't know the JL-1A was considered tier 9. It gets shit on by many (if not all) tier9 planes and you still have the Vampire, P-80, Hoe 229 and XP-58 to deal with, all much scarier than the P-61. I think you forgot the times when the BV P.203 came out, or the twin mustang with the gunpod...or the XP-54 that still ruins tier 6 and tier 5 games. Those are the real shit, P61 is a joke in comparison, being one, two or 4 on the enemy team I never had trouble killing them with either faster or move manouverable planes, unless you fly the XP-72...or the Su-9, then yeah, you are P-61 food...you are everyone's food actually. By the way, the JL-1A is my favorite plane and it has a 10 point pilot, and every equipment is a special design fully calibrated...so I would say my JL-1A is definitely tier 8.5 Also, seal clubing in tier 8??
Another battle with pretty inept red team human players. I don't get inept players that often so I can't tell if the mediocrity of the P-51D is enough less with Elise Clark to make it a plane that gets used more often than rarely. With WoWp moving toward World of Premium Planes the mediocre and lesser planes are gathering dust in the hanger. Sure we can use any plane but in order to be competitive to win most battles there are fewer good planes to use and the P-51D is not that impactful of a plane. The 15 battles that comprised the Elise Clark mission were all mosty a grind with the exception of part 14 (kill 8 fighters in a single battle). That one just required luck to get the right setup. All in all I still got through them by the early morning of Feb. 13th so not difficult for most to get her in 28 days.
Like her. Did mini grind with tokens and a bit of "free" experience. Added marksman 1 and aerodynamic expert. That allows me to put her in American specialized premiums. Eventually will grind and add the 2 point aerobatic skill but that will be a long grind. Happy with the results so far.
Just for fun I put Elise in the P-40 and changed the build from speed to maneuverability. Cruise speed dropped 57mph to 256mph, boost speed stayed the same. Maneuverability increased from 66/10.5 to 82/9.2, maybe could get a little more. Almost a different plane to fly but still a blast 😉
Interesting that she reduces the turn time of the P-40 that much. My biggest complain about the P-40 is that my Bf 109 E can outturn the P-40 and shoot it down with little difficulty so I generally fly the Bf 109 E at tier V for that reason. If she can get the P-40 up into the low 80s on maneuverability then that changes my view of the P-40. I will need to experiment with her. Thanks for the info.
It was worth it because I've earned it for free, doing the last missions in bot games pretty easily. Also I'll pick up the Shooting Star tomorrow with the discounts and that'll be a great trainer for Elise.

Darn you to heck, Postal. I had resigned myself to not getting her and now I want to.
I still don't think she's worth full price. Worth free or maybe a fiver
Thank you , after seeing this video I made better use of her and now my XFL is even better :)

I like her in the 51-D, but I'm strongly considering putting her in the F6U or the F2H.

1) Because I'm an idiot. Fire Fighter should be chosen on all fighters and most MRFs.
2) thanks for the info!

I moved it to F86 Sabre, got 97 points of maneuverability....almost like yak-30....s-o...

elise was only designed for the P-51D for the Perk.
The 'P-51D only' perk impacts gun range and accuracy. The maneuverability perk impacts any plane she flies

It is really odd that they used a P51H in the cover art for her
Right?
Elise Clark it has cool perk! how ever P-51D is not the greatest plane. Easy out turn by many other fighters.
Keeping mine in the P51D as well because it is the coolest looking plane :D
