    It would be really cool to do this on some sort of plastic film and for the "stars" some how use an acid or acetone to melt holes in the plastic then build a box with a light in it and back light it.

    i am wondering how you get your stars to look really good and clean (without looking like just big blobs of paint) i tired flicking the paint off a brush and they were too light, but when I did it by just barely holding down the nozzle, they were too big.. help please!! what's your technique? i love how this one turned out :)

    • @Sephvion
      @Sephvion 9 років тому +2

      I'll tell you. :)
      The paint, in that area, began to dry a little too much. If you've done this type of art, you'll know that the paint dries relatively fast, so sometimes you have to add clear paint to re-wet spots you want to work with. He had to do this, because he wanted to give the planet a ring. Without the extra wetness, he would have had a harder time creating those rings.

    Ever do just space? ex: planets and/or a star inside of a nebula? Not complaining, but it always seems as if if everyone does the cityscape or mountains or waterfalls at the bottom. Just wondering if you did just space based stuff, as if viewed from space and not the ground? :-)

  • @LudwigTheGhost

    What is the clear paint that you use? Is it to "seal" the lower layers of paint?

    • @AmanieAimee
      @AmanieAimee 10 років тому

      I think its to keep the paint "wet" I could be completely wrong though.

    • @ashleymonahan8299
      @ashleymonahan8299 10 років тому

      Its used for a lot of things - mostly in this to keep the paint wet so the paint doesn't get too sticky. If it did, the magazine he put on there would get stuck, and that mountain would have been a disaster. Also, he wouldn't have been able to easily scrape the paint off when he did the mountain. Its technically a gloss - a clear coat, if you will. It can also be used to seal the lower layers at the very, very end.

    • @spacepainter
      @spacepainter  10 років тому

      to rewet the paint
