Small note: I am aware that the blob appears briefly in chapter 1 when going down the stairs. But it only appears a millisecond in a hole, and the average player will probably never notice it. So I don't count it.

Hey Andrew, I’m curious about something: will you add the mimic into your series Freddy Fazbear and friends? I personally think that he’s be a good edition to it, especially since he’d be a good ally for Freddy and the others against any threats up ahead like throw off the enemies by making them turn on each other by mimicking their voices and spreading lies about them

I found ruin amazing. It honestly didn't feel like fnaf half the time. But the game was a masterpiece. It has a couple of flaws, but the ending is cool. But this game was scary, and i loved it. I honestly hope steel wool Continues this tone for future fnaf games
I think why we didn’t get any blob in ruin besides the beginning where you can see it in the walls is because the main point of this dlc to me was to properly introduce the mimic as a character in the game universe and now that’s done the next game or dlc will feature the blob more
The blob actually does appear in ruin. You just have to find him in the elevator.

@@36Dorothea I mean, without them the game would be too easy. But there’s too many of them that it makes the game annoying to play. How I would change them would be to make their hitbox smaller and/or remove the jumpscare

The Brazil ending, that weird one with the hill, is just something that Cassie made in her mind basically. The clue is the name which is based on a movie where in the end is revealed that the protagonist has gone crazy and made an escape scenario in his mind.

Ignoring the gameplay which definitely has some problems (Not in terms of glitches but literally internally like you talked about) I'm really glad to see that Ruin actually took a more straightforward approach with storytelling, whilst still leaving a lot of questions. I hated that in Security breach, it barely gave you anything in terms of plot past the halfway point, however Ruin has a story it follows from beginning to end, which i respect. Like i love mystery in games, but you gotta at least finish your main plot in the same story (which Ruin did pretty well)

Also from what I learn from other people's talks about the moment with the elevator. They say that when the radio acted up, Gregory was cut off, and the mimic was the one saying those things, and sending it tumbling down. Afterall the Mimic, well mimics voices, sooo hope that can clear things.

I will admit, I found this game to be refreshing. While yeah it does have it's flaws, it was at least nice for what it was.
But yeah I wish we could see more with the animatronics, like being able to reboot the animatronics.

Well because I thought I was going to move I only watched lets plays of Ruin to at least get the idea of what it is like but I guess I will soon play it since my move was once again delayed. Well yeah it is better then the main game at least with tone and what not but the story is kinda barebones. What is very confusing is that the Pizzaplex has signs of burning and yet in the Princess Quest Ending we are supposed to think that one is canon? It did not burn in that ending. Some sources or people think that it might be trying to combine both that ending and the Burntrap ending which might be it but hard to say. I am kinda sad that we don't get more of Vanny cause I was really hoping for them to actually use her fully like originally before they did cuts on the main game. Also the DLC really does not feel like something that was really worked on for 2 years since it felt like it was missing quite a bit and would seem like they would have a lot more room for more. I did used to like Gregory and thought he was at least a good character but my opinion has been somewhat souring on him. I would have preferred it if he was portrayed more as an actual kid rather then how he was portrayed as in the game. The books really for some reason at least in GGY decided to make him more ridiculous by making him some hacker who seems okay with killing others. I also don't like he was mind controlling Freddy in that story as it really would have made it feel like their relationship was not like a Father and Son relationship. Thankfully I did not read the story but to me it just did not make sense to have him be a Patient in some of the parts of the Therapy CD audio as it just felt more fitting for it to be Vanessa. But if it really was Gregory who cut the Elevator then yeah. It would for sure ruin the character for me fully. I prefer Cassie cause at least she was more believable with her character and her knowing some tech stuff would make sense she hinted her Dad might be a worker for Fazbear Entertainment. Not what ever we got with Gregory. Plus with Cassie you do actually feel sad for her and well it did show a cut out of Gregory comforting but having him possibly kill Cassie if she did not survive the Elevator would indeed have ruined that. I wish we did to see Glamrock Freddy and not the headless prototype. I was hoping maybe if Gregory really was trapped in the Pizzaplex he might have tried to go and save him. I am at least glad we got more of Roxy as I felt underneath she really was caring and sweet. I am hoping that I would be able to play Help Wanted 2 mostly cause I don't have a PS5 and PSVR2 so I kinda hope maybe it would also be on PS4 but it has not been confirmed or at least with PC have a Flatmode be made right on the spot. If not I guess I will settle with Lets Plays until the game comes out for the Switch or get Flatmode on PC.

There are newspapers scattered at the beginning on the floor saying that an earthquake struck the pizzaplex which caused it to close down.

another giveaway that it wasn't gregory, but the mimic, was the fact that a lot of Greg's voice lines were recycled from the Base game. if they gave Roxy new voice line, then they could've given Gregory new lines too since they're voiced by the same women. but now we know why

To be honest, yes I didn't play Ruin yet but I do watched DanTDM played the entire thing. Yes the endings got me a bit confused especially the Fredbear ending, it's like "what happened next" so I didn't really get the Fredbear ending especially it's kinda a rushed neutral ending or maybe Scott and Steel Wool ran out of ideas so the Fredbear ending is simple and plain as that. There's actually alot of questionable stuff there especially the endings which is very unclear for reason especially the elevator and the fredbear ones. The scooper ending does makes a bit sense but it's kinda like...I'm not disliking the scooper ending but I can tell they can do WAY better and WAY longer than just a simple execution of an antagonist from the FNaF Novels.
Positive vibes here is I'm glad that the Princess Quest/Cassidy's Quest is now canon because it literally proven that Golden Freddy/Cassidy has given a chance to become a hero and help solve everything. Despite that's how it explains the disappearance of Vanny, Glitchtrap and Burntrap and yeah I get your point that you wanted to explore the Blob much more but guess they ran out of space and they might mixed up everything in the DLC causing more confusing and stuff about the FNaF lore.
Conclusion about this is I do like the DLC, the protagonist known as Cassie is really well done than Gregory itself because Gregory is acting like a robot with no emotions at all. My negative side for this DLC is only the endings, the goal is repetitive and some part that are totally non creative way. But I can predict that they can make it WAY better than this in the future because I know Steel Wool is dealing alot of FNaF Games nowadays especially they're also working FNaF VR Help Wanted 2 which is really stressful because after you work on one big game chapter then you'll go to the other one which is much bigger that the previous one.

Ruin was ok… ish. In my opinion. The animatronics have such great designs, and the gameplay was VASTLY improved. However, the amount of cheap jumpscares was way too much. Like you said, the game was way too repetitive, and quickly became boring. The Mask is hilariously stupid. Remember that theory about the entirety of SB taking place in a Simulation? The mask does nothing but further support that theory. Everything in this review I absolutely agree with. Last thing I’m gonna say, THE ENDINGS SUCKED. The main ending is basically the same thing as the ending of Hello Neighbor 2, which is even funnier since Steel Wool helped with development on that game. I was actually pleased with the Atmosphere. It felt like the classic FNaF games, which is a feeling that was lost back in Sister Location. Cassie was a WAY better protagonist than Gregory. Unlike the latter, Cassie has actual human emotion. She actually cried after having to deactivate Roxy. Meanwhile Gregory killed them all without saying a word. All of the Animatronics have SUCH GOOD DESIGNS OH MY LORD. Ruined Freddy with that stomach mouth is PEAK character design. Ruined Monty looks just like a Resident Evil Monster, which I absolutely loved. Roxanne had the biggest character arc from SB to RUIN. She went from this narcissistic emo teenager to one of the nicest characters in the series. The Mimic was a stupid decision but it’s funny that he’s canon now. That’s pretty much all I have to say about RUIN. If steel wool makes a part 2 of SB DLC, that’s the stupidest decision they could make. I honestly hope they continue it in Help Wanted 2 for whatever stupid reason. I don’t even care at this point.
Not continue the DLC in another DLC, but rather a full on game. That would be the better option.
