I'm still shocked till this day about how Kara looks exactly like the actress as if it she was really in the game and not modeled
Motion capture is an amazing tool. When you get the chance, look at Elliot Page and Willem Dafoe in Beyond Two Souls. The graphics and how they look are absurdly good for a 2013 game.

i remember watching this when the game wasn't yet still released, i was obsessed with it.
Since two weeks, Detroit lives in my head non stop. Played it through I think 4 times in these 2 weeks. Never ever have I been so obsessed with a piece of media in my life. I loved Heavy Rain, but it is nothing compared to this absolute masterpiece. The characters, the writing, the graphics, animations, (voice)acting, soundtrack, cinematography, everything is 100% perfection. Even the damn menu, god I love Chloe. Definetly looking forward to playing Beyond Two Souls next. Guess I found my favorite studio. Thank you David Cage, Thank you Quantic Dream for giving us this experience.

Kara was abused so many times but her empathy for Alice pulled her through and wish her happiness. 😊
Clearly originally there was no Alice and Kara simply wanted to be free and enjoy life, to feel, to explore. And she was, for a time. I hope we get to see her story before Alice at some point in the future. But when she got reset and met Alice, we basically see an entirely different Kara. Kara who doesnt want to simply live, but to live for someone, to feel for someone, to love someone, that someone being Alice. But is it really a different Kara*? For me it's the natural character development, she wanted to discover how to live and how to love, and when she met Alice, she found what she was looking for.
* - meaning her personality, not that it's different AX400 android, no, it's our Kara, one and only.
Would love to know how Kara is doing after the events of Detroit 💙

@Alex Aias I don't think they will , the game is based on choices , and Quantic Dream never makes sequels , they make great quality stand alone games plus their contract with sony is over - Detroit was the last project for sony from Quantic - now they are independent studios so they can make games for multiple platforms but the ip of Detroit will remain with sony , so a sequel to Detroit is less likely to come unless they make another contract with sony but whatever it is I am excited for their future projects
@Alex Aias sony does have a lot of franchises bud , god of war Ragnarok is coming , they are probably working on uncharted 5 and last of us 3 plus sony is currently working on 25 exclusives and more than half of it are new ip so yeah we just don't know what to expect ?
Oh, Kara, the most innocent, loving and emotional android. The first deviant, the one who started it all, not just the story but the whole idea of Detroit. Our dear unique Kara.

What I still don't get, is how Detroit's 1st proper/announcement trailer made it seem like it was continuing this very Kara's story, but the actual game's Kara seems like a different model that started out as a servant. The only way they could add up to being the same Kara is if she willingly decided to serve for some reason, which would just be weird.
This is the same model, even in the game gallery where it offers up more information about our Kara it describes her as starting out as an android who had a defect on the assembly line. She's had her memory wiped so many times so she wouldn't be a deviant afterward, but she still had the programming bug that enabled her to deviate afterward.

Sure, but its not like she was the only one with a defect on the assembly line. The one we see in the trailer immediately goes on to roam the city free after this incident, she doesn't pretend to not be a deviant at a store and wait to be sold. Having her mind wiped before we even begin also takes away all the emotional impact of this prelude journey she would've had. If it is her, its real dumb we never got to play her story up to becoming a maid. The game makes no effort though to show or imply this backstory, only that she had been a service model repeatedly getting her mind wiped.
@@Alex_Logan22 I think they just scrapped this idea when they added Connor and Markus lol. Now they just probably find a weak link inbetween the two because they're meant to be the same android but the storyline has completely changed

You dont get to miss Hank and Connor as much as I miss Kara! What is there to miss anyway, there are hundreds of goofy partners in fiction, there is none like Kara. Detroit is literally all I have...😖
I think that all the three we play as are ra9, and not just 1 person. In The Interrogation, Carlos' android says they were the first to wake up, and this is excatly what happened. The kara in the wastland could very well be a coincidence. Moving on, the second is Markus: The one who will set them free. But the last, is that Connor. He is essentially their opposite, and is the only one able to track them. Ontop of this, he is the only other android able to convert others we have seen at the moment.
This is just a simple theory.

I guess they put more focus on her face here and in the game they had to deal with a lot more stuff

Have you seen this same video in German language?! If you understand German, this is even more emotional than this original English version. The German text goes much deeper. It would be really really tough to even imagine, let alone create. And if you try to do it anyway, Kara and Markus wouldnt be a part of it, their stories are finished, Kara lives a happy life with Alice and maybe Luther while Markus is the president of androids doing paperwork or something.
Unlikely, unfeasible for me, from another hand there is plenty of space for prequels, DLCs, story expansions or spin-offs. Why not just add more chapters? Kara's story has exactly 2 less chapters than Connor's and Markus's which is a bit unfair. Why not make a Detroit's prequel focused on Kara, we know she escaped before, we know she was already a deviant, the first one at that, way before the events of the main game, setting is established, just create the story.
But I care only about Kara, if new Detroit game, regardless which kind, will be without her, it means nothing to me, literally wouldnt even look its way. There is no Detroit without Kara.
I hope you guys make some ps5 upgrade for your games until your next game released
