- Metal detecting both a school and a park field. Both had similar results. Using my Minelab Equinox 800 Metal Detector and the Garrett Pro-Pinpointer AT

Dusted off my old detector! We found our first penny at HB and surface quarter plus tool at Seal this week. Two pennies at Sunset. Found a park on the way home, lots of wood chips and people, will camp and hunt. New excitement n joy in life thanks to you two. Really, its been a horrendous 2 years. Both major surgery, lost all our long time pets, both grown kids tragedy and heartbreak, sis tragedy and we're taking care of her now, more surgery May, whew. We had such fun and relaxation hunting, I have to thank you for that! Never would have gone without your positive inspiration.
So sorry to hear about all the loss and tragedy. Loss for words. 🙏. It is nice to hear you are out and have a tiny bit of distraction during what must be a very difficult time!!!

I'm from Visalia CA which is 45 minutes south of Fresno by car. I have fond memories as a kid of going to Blackbeards as a kid which is where that token is from. They had great miniature golf there too. Thanks for bringing us along!!

I watch your videos all the time. And I enjoy them. Have you guys ever thought of going to Old properties houses from the 1900s.
It is def in my to do list. It seems hard here to find a good location to seek out permission. I plan on going to Washington in the summer and will try and find some locs to hunt with permission.

Hi Bill, I love watching you guys videos! I was just watching one of your new videos in the parks, grass hunts. You said on several coins that you scratched them. I hope this helps. I scratch targets sometimes as well. But I noticed you go in with your digger at a very sharp angle. I believe if you'll go in the ground at a more straight up and down angle on the blade when cutting your plug that you'll minimize chances of hitting the target and hopefully have a better chance at getting under the target when you flip the plug. Like I say, I'm not perfect and hope I'm getting this out right lol. I promise I mean it in the nicest way. Can't wait for you guys next adventure!

It’s always interesting to see what the various venues produce. There must be hundreds of people walking around with holes in their pockets to drop all that coin. Loved the Kennedy half dollar and the dollar coin. No one ever hands out dollar coins even at the banks. Another beautiful day in So. California. 39 degrees where I live. 🥶 Why is it that there are never any green Matchbox, etc. cars for sale in stores? I always look but never anything in green or teal. ☹️
Maybe the kids are doing summersaults... lol. Very interesting observation regarding the lack of green toy cars....

I can tell you she has three finds she loves... a train car from the 60's a 1913 dime and a beach find of a gold ring that she wares. For me, not really. I haven't found that item that made me super excited.

I live in N.W. Alabama in a very rural town. No hunting is permitted in any of the 7 parks or 12 schools. And they call this southern living!

I was doing a service search today with a friend looking for a gold wedding ring, digging the tiny holes with a knife (same as yours) is more tiring than using a spade, we did not find the ring 😢😢
Yes, digging with that small shovel is a lot of work. Best when the ground is soft. Too bad you did not find the ring. I searched for a necklace the other day for a lady and also did not find it. She was not sure where she lost it so my hopes were not high....

I think the miniature car and the dinosaur were my favorite from this hunt... do you need to get permission from the schools to hunt there in your state?
Most of the schools are fenced here. I have hunted unfenced fields at schools without permission but it is always best to ask. I have built up a good relationship with some school maintenance workers at schools and park staff. What they like about my hunts is that I don't tear up the grass especially with those large shovels.
Usually in High School fields you may find HS rings.
