- This video is an excellent way to start understanding, integrating, and exploring the modular Monroe Style Devices: Staggered Arpeggios, the Slidey Lick, and the Bouncy Lick. Using a simple melody like Worried Man Blues, which is basically the same as This Little Light of Mine, can be a wonderful way to open the door to the creative power of these improvising textures.
Learning how to switch and swap with the melody is the most important thing in this system so we don't get lost! Starting with simple forms to keep it easy for ourselves can be important.
I knew it! Kenny Baker!
You're helping show how to make order out of chaos in a way. Like taking billions of bits of music and showing that there is order to it and it's not crazy complicated.
I appreciate that kindness Gwenn! it can be reduced to some manageable variables and still sound good! :D
