    Hi Ray, you gave the 90D a great work-out heh heh. Nice project, some really super scenery, I didn't see the whole thing yet, but looks awesome :) Big thumbs up 👍👍

      I appreciate the kind words, Peter. As far as seeing the whole thing, I expect exactly zero people to watch this entire thing unless they're just really into driving ASMR, haha.

      @@TheReelRaymond I had to look up ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) and it's related definitions. I have heard of this before. Intriguing how the authors specifically define it. I get the description. It all makes sense.

    Raymond, your camera Canon 90D captures Excellent and clear video quality as you are making your trek from San Francisco to Sacramento. As a driver I rarely get opportunities to be a passenger. It is nice to get a chance to sit back and observe surrounding scenery. In reminiscing, all the roads I have been through or traveled a thousand times before for various reasons. Familiar territory. It is nice to have another perspective of the route. Ooh I have friends who live in Crockett, CA. I love how you were able to capture the beautiful architecture of the Benicia Bridge which leads into Vallejo, CA The Chevy Malibu seems like it rides like a dream. Nice, smooth and quiet. Also interesting to note the perfect blue skies this day. If I recall correctly shortly after this the fires happened which caused these same sky's to be very smoky. Also you were fortunate to miss a lot of the traffic.Smooth sailing. You drive with great surety as if you have been through the route many times. A+ driving skills. A tangent thought in my head....I have to give you an applause for seemingly riding to Sacramento from San Francisco without any music, radio or some type of audio going on in the background. I could not have been as alert as you were. Bravo. I don't believe you were wearing bluetooth headphones. Well, enough of my tangent thinking. This video is an interesting addition to your other works of art. Job well done.

      Thanks, Marlon! I like the Canon 90D because it's a great hybrid between film and photography. It's 32 megapixels, so I can capture detailed photographs, and it films in 4K, which allows me to shoot detailed video. Regarding the surrounding scenery, part of me wishes I had multiple cameras I could mount to capture surroundings to the sides of the vehicle since the straight ahead view doesn't enable the real passenger experience of being able to look at a city's skyline as the car drives past. The Chevy Malibu does ride well, non unlike most rental cars since they're usually within a year old. Indeed, skies were clear that day, which is amazing considering it wasn't that hot. It was 85 in Sacramento, which felt hot to me since I'm used to 65 in San Francisco, but having formally lived in Sacramento I can tell you that 85 feels amazing for an August day there. In fact, it was 105 the very next weekend, so I picked the perfect weekend to go. There's no way I would've been able to stand out there for 3+ hours shooting B-roll for my Sac City College video on the other channel had it been over 100 because even the 85 eventually got to me. But the fact that I went on the weekend is why I missed a lot of the traffic. And yes, I've driven this corridor countless times throughout my life. I chose not to listen to music for two reasons: 1) I wanted the ride-along to be raw and 2) I didn't want the video to be copyright striked.

      @@TheReelRaymond Brilliant, mounting cameras in multiple directions is and Awesome idea to get many perspectives of the scenery, skyline, sides of vehicle. This would be cool to see. Even though I take in various scenes I still miss a lot of site seeing while driving because I am trying to focus more on safety and being mindful of the the vehicles around me. The valley has had high temperatures as well. Somehow the smoke kept it somewhat cool. Great thinking ahead. Music is a serious issue in social media. I still giving you an applause for staying alert for the driving. Well done.

      @@marlonbeaver Driving is actually the biggest challenge to having multiple cameras since I would need to invest in cameras that don't have record limits. The Canon 90D has a 30 minute record limit, which means I had to press the record button multiple times during the drive when it automatically stopped at 29:59. I know many of the Sony cameras don't have that record limit. Even then, storage space would be an issue since I would be filling up multiple memory cards with hundreds of gigabytes of data. I also haven't even figured out how I would even mount side-facing cameras. I would probably have to built a custom rig that can carry two cameras and fit in the back seat of a vehicle, haha.

      @@TheReelRaymond Thank you for letting your audience know about the 30 minute record limit challenge. You seamlessly excluded the record button press out of the video. Well done. I just Googled "Cameras without recording limit Sony" interesting finds. Online retailer B&H has Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 18-135mm Lens. But what scares me is the preview screen is exposed and could get scratched up. It needs some sort covering. However, whats cool about it is you can see a preview of the picture while the camera is facing you. Almost like a cell phone selfie. I also Google Exterior and Interior Car Camera Mount. Also happened upon Garmin Dash Cam Mini buy.garmin.com/en-US/US/p/621281

      I considered it but didn’t plan how I would accomplish it. Perhaps I could’ve created a GPS in Adobe After Effects. I may do this trip again, so I'll consider options on how I can create one, though that video would probably go on my other channel (Raymond Stone) since this one will focus on cameras moving forward.

      Don't feel bad. I actually put more work into my other channel (Raymond Stone) and hardly anyone engages with the videos I upload there. And the numbers actually look even better now than they did before I restarted that channel. I think it comes down to whether or not the algorithm believes a certain user will want to see a video. The higher the number of those "certain users," the more people will see that video on their home pages, which increases the likelihood people will watch it.

    I know you’re trying to get paid but at least put some music on

    • @TheReelRaymond
      @TheReelRaymond  3 роки тому +4

      Haha. I'm not nearly close to getting paid from this channel, so avoiding music is more about not wanting to get the video flagged.
