    What bit are you using while engraving? Please

    • @bifrostblacksmithing
      @bifrostblacksmithing  8 місяців тому +2

      I'll use a 110 dremel bit or similar in most cases, depending on the look I'm going for

    Very nicely executed! Good music and nice videography. May I ask how you price items like this? I especially like the ones with the slash marks running diagonally across the tip, and the one with long running curvey line lengthwise. Looking forward to enjoying more of your interesting style and construction methods. Have an excellent day Sir!

      Thank you for the compliments! Pricing for our work depends on the time invested, the cost/availability of material used, and the value of our own skill.

      And pricing depends on location, location, location. Where I live, people won pay what they are worth. They think dollar general is overpriced.

    what gauge of wire..please

    • @bifrostblacksmithing
      @bifrostblacksmithing  2 роки тому

      About 14 gauge, depends on what style of copper scroll is being made and what's on hand at the time.

      @@bifrostblacksmithing thanks for the reply...do you anneal the wire?

    • @bifrostblacksmithing
      @bifrostblacksmithing  2 роки тому

      @@nobackhands Not usually for the smaller stuff like this. If it's getting closer to 10 gauge wire then it'll likely need to be annealed to make things easier.

      @@bifrostblacksmithing I picked up some wire to try it. For some reason I recall it being 20 -gauge. In fact, re-read it just before posting 20-gauge does not work so well… That was $8 wasted.

    • @bifrostblacksmithing
      @bifrostblacksmithing  2 роки тому

      @@nobackhands The 20 gauge wire might not be good for the scroll work but it could be suitable for the wrap on the lanyard.
