Loved watching this as my grandfather and great grandfather worked in the station back in the 20-30-40 -50-60ies, i have today my grandfather’s retirement clock he was presented for 45 year’s service im now in my sixties and I can remember hearing it chime back when I was 5 years old and I still working perfect now
Thank you! As a teenager l lived in the Mill House at Gara Bridge and my parents bought part of the Primrose Line back in the 70s. It lived up to it's name ❤️
Tremendous. I live 10 miles from the old line and have cycled and walked part of it between Loddiswell and Gara Bridge- but I'm not sure it's actually open for either walkers or cyclists. And it can be pretty muddy in parts near to the river Avon. Pity it can't be converted into a cycleway/walkway-without of course going directly through Loddiswell, Gara or Avonwick stations,-though it would be possible to bypass these. I'm sure it would be popular. Loved the film of the exit from Kingsbridge station which appears in those days to be entirely rural. And although the branch featured on Railway Roundabout, most of the footage on this film I have never seen before.
Thank you. I'm currently working on updating the footage, including some aerial footage, of the line. It will be on the channel ready for the 60th anniversary of the line closing.

Were you one of the naughty children that were made to walk home? 😁
Lovely the lady from Loddiswell talking about welcoming people for cream teas at the old station. Pity there aren't a few more like her 😢
Staggering that as the line was trying to be saved the demolition team moved in 😢

Lovely stuff. Please could you upload the Tavistock South and Launceston film?
I'm in the process of re-mastering it, so it's on its way.
