    Love this format. Totally agree that this sets you apart from other poker vloggers. Easy for me to say because it's your work, but it's worth the extra effort.🤔😜😏

    this is your first vlog I watched that showcases every hand your dealt. I do like seeing the entire shabang and you're thinking about why to fold, why to call or why to raise. Sending you positive thought support for the stream of luck to favor you next time you're playing. Question: did you find that showing every hand, in any way changed your starting range from any position?

    • @Pokerbabbo

      Thank you I really appreciate the support. I don’t think it changes how I play. If something it helps me stay strict with my ranges since I know I’ll have to share it

    I like the fact that you show every hand as it reflects what it is really like to sit and grind it out for some new players watching the videos. I played in a $120 deepstack tourney last week and although it is a small sample size, I ran the worst I had ever run I was card dead and when I was not card dead I was flop dead and when it was not flop dead I was rivered 3 times. I know it was a small sample size and only a 3.5 hour session in a tourney, it was the worst I have ran that I can remember with only 1 premium hand dealt with KK, and flop came with an A and all suited with none of the suits connecting with me. BTW new subscriber here, I enjoy this form of content.

    The only hand of significance where I felt that I would have played differently was the “counterfeited” 6s5s. Yes, he could have had a jack, a 3 or an overpair. I think there are a lot more hands with missed draws, plus A5, A4, and any number of hands with a 6 where you would have chopped. Sitting here in the comfort of my office with no actual money at stake, I would have called and that one single hand would have changed the outcome of the entire session. But then again, in the heat of battle I have folded in similar situations and kicked myself for it afterwards.

    question since you are a poker player who is playing for profits (source of income) why are we not locking up a 100 BB win when we get up to $300
    + in profits//// its easy for me to say walk away but doing it is much harder for me personally lol but im not playing live as often as you are so curious to see if you have $ amount you will stop at or is it always time based? i think if you did a profit or # of BB's in profit you're able to walk away it may help! REMEMBER this when in a DOWN SWING it imperative to Get a Win for the Soul brother and i think you had the chance to change your streak just didn't hop on it!! much love and highly appreciate the content, better luck and run good in the poker sessions to come!!

    • @nicholi2789
      @nicholi2789 9 місяців тому +1

      You have a point about sometimes during a downswing just booking even a small win can help your morale a ton. However, when you’re a winning player you have an hourly win rate and the more hours you log the more money you’re winning. That’s why putting in hours when you play for an income is so important. That’s why a guy might not just rack up his profits and bail right away.

    • @nicholi2789
      @nicholi2789 9 місяців тому +1

      Also, when I first started seriously playing for profit I set myself a 1.5 buy in goal. Once I booked $600 or more in profit I’d get up and leave. Now I know it’s about the long run and don’t set a goal number anymore.
      I keep playing until I no longer feel like I’m playing well or no longer have an edge in the game.

    • @jakeminer8503
      @jakeminer8503 9 місяців тому +2

      when you book wins and leave early, and stay long to get even, you play less at your best and more at your worst.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  9 місяців тому +5

      Hey man! Thanks for the support I really appreciate it💪 I have my set time I play during the day like a work schedule unless the game is really bad that I think I’m losing money or if I’m not playing good. I wouldn’t consider leaving just because I’m up since I’m expecting to make more money on the long run if I play more. It’s all just one long session. A lot of times as well the more money you’re up the easier it is to make more since you’re deeper and able to win bigger pots

    • @therealbinarymaster
      @therealbinarymaster 9 місяців тому

      @Pokerbabbo agreed 👍 also could get in some sticky situations and play more Boarder line hands... makes sense 🤔
      Sometimes for me. I'm a forex trader, and some times I'll have loosing weeks. And I'll take a trade and it will play out near my target but not hit my final target and I'll manually close. Because it's morally important to get that win after experiencing loss after loss during those down swings

    Do you find yourself playing differently when you are in a slump? You had some very tight folds that seemed unusual

    • @nicholi2789
      @nicholi2789 9 місяців тому

      I thought the same. The K10o from late position and the KJo were both unusually tight folds for him.
      I get it though, when I’m on a downswing I find myself hesitating to get involved more for some reason. Gotta be aware of that.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  9 місяців тому

      I try my best not to but I do think I get extra tight and tend to feel like I’m behind wanting to fold more often.

  • @nicholi2789
    @nicholi2789 9 місяців тому +3

    I’m a fan of the vlog and always watch, but man, it seems like the downswing is effecting your play.
    You are playing much tighter than normal and seeing monsters under the bed in almost every hand.
    Folding K10o with a straddle and two limps in late position? Also folding KJo in a spot that’s an easy 3 bet? Very very tight.
    I totally get it. When I go on a long downswing I tend to tighten up and always feel like I’m gonna get coolered and it affects me playing optimally.
    Maybe try a change of scenery and go to a new room once or twice?
    Not hating at all man, just my observations and I watch every episode.
    Hope it gets better soon man!

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  9 місяців тому

      Hey man!! Thanks for the support! I definitely think the downswing affected my game even if I try my best that it doesn’t. The K10o I think it depends, with various limpers I just usually raise a range similar to when I’m in EP so I’m folding K10o. If it was just 1 limper I’d raise it or if the limpers where players that where playing super wide. For me KJo is too wide of a 3bet for the most part unless there’s just a player that’s raising every hand.

    Can you explain why you are playing Q10o so much? that isn't a great hand....in fact I think something like A7o-A9o would be better, but you are folding those ones. (other than position, is there another rationale you are using?)

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  6 місяців тому +1

      I don’t remember exactly the hands since it was a while ago but must have been in late position that I raise with Q10o. I do think it’s better than the weak off suit A’s since in those spots you end up a lot with top pair worse kicker and you have more possibilities with Q10 that can hit straights and the kicker isn’t that bad when you hit top pair

    29:15 It is a call. He is BLUFFing! He cannot have AJ...all he can have is: J and a small kicker (J8, J9, J4s), or a middle pair: 77, 88, 99. None of these hands would bet river!! So: he bluffs river as the only way to win the pot.

    • @Pokerbabbo
      @Pokerbabbo  9 місяців тому +1

      I disagree with the range you put him on. Players in these games aren’t 3betting much, specially in a straddle pot. He definitely has AJ, KJ, QJ,J10

    • @traderduke2
      @traderduke2 2 місяці тому

      @Pokerbabbo Yes. The key part about Bart's input is to convert your decision from trying to guess if he has it, to the fact that if you call $100, you only have to be right 1 out of 5 times to break even. I'm sure you get that, but it's a central point to remove the emotional aspect. If it's 50/50 he's bluffing, then you always want to call the $100. Good vlog.
