This shows how much more interesting history is then fiction.
Wow I never really thought to compare the two like that. But you are so right!
@@nospeedlimit4me58 Glad you agree 😄
I would used those stories in my fiction story where i write right know.
True, history is much more interesting than fictional mumbo jumbo
@@panos617 That would be cool.
We gonna ignore Charlie and how he was diagnosed with Hotchkins and was expected to not live past 2 years, but being the badass he is, he lived another 21 YEARS!!!!!????
I know I aint
Chapman basically got shot, took a nap in the middle of war
and fought to his last breath
-absolute legend
Chapen: can i take a shortrest?
DM: in the middle of combat?
Chapmen: yes
DM: *sigh* sure.
Well he was going into a heart attack so I agree with you
Also I’m a medic in the army
Did the typical guy thing “I’m not calling the medic I’ll just sleep it off” but all jokes aside absolute respect to that man
Respekt to Chapman
10/10 would binge this as a series like Pacific or Band of Brothers.
There's a show like this on Netflix
@@johncarello7360 name?
Can we get Douglas Munro the only US Coastguardsman to be awarded the Medal of Honor
I could of swore he’s already made that
@@bogator0149 I think you are referring to Douglas barder.
@@bogator0149 nah
That sounds dope I'd watch that
I was just thinking that.
Semper Paratus.
Joined the Army in 93. I got to meet a Navajo code talker MOH and helped retire a Vietnam MOH guy. As a kid I used to pretend I was in Vietnam. I wished I was in combat. After talking to the last of the Vietnam vets. I fully knew their sacrifices and hardships. I did not want to see combat after that. Great videos! I will show my 8 years old this.
Thank you for ur service
Imagine putting all these guys in one squad
There wouldn't be an army they couldn't beat, other countries would ask the devs to nerf them
Then you would have cod vanguard II
They should make a video game of it!
Matchmaking wouldn't do it unless it was R6S.
The genava convention would have a say in that
For your next men of valor videos:
Jacklyn H. Lucas (Mr immortal) - survived two live grenades and awarded Medal of Honor at the age of 17.
Audie Murphy - tiny but brave soldier of WW2
Edward Carter - crippled an enemy garrison single-handedly
Sammy Davis - real-life Forest Gump who used an inflatable mattress to rescue 3 American GIs
Joseph Vittori - fooled enemy soldiers into thinking they were up against a much larger force by running between machine gun nests.
Vito Bertoldo - single-handedly fought with extreme gallantry while guarding 2 command posts against German troops
Sylvester Antolak - charged 200 yards over flat, coverless terrain to destroy an enemy machinegun nest.
I think they did Murphy and Vittori already but good ideas
@@novaace2474 no murphy was ww2 the one your think of was a Vietnam war soldier
@@monokumagamingalt1638 they definitely did Audie Murphy
@@cavemanbonk8320 simple history did not do Audie Murphy
How about Aimo Koivunen?
Hey simple history you should do one on Fijian-British SAS officer Talaiasi Labalaba Battle of Mirbat 1972 along with Randy Shugart and Gary Gordon Operation Gothic Serpent and lastly the Loyoda Hostage Rescue 1976 where the GIGN French Counter Terrorism Unit launched their first military operation and the birth of Synchronization shooting.
Chapman is an absolute legend. He was shot multiple times, yet somehow managed to survive and kill an unwounded soldier in hand-on-hand combat. He was like an IRL superhero.
He shouldn't have been there in the first place.. a good man died for no reason n youre stoked..
ikr
@@ChillAssTurtlethat’s not the fault of John Chapman. Please shut up. Most people are in agreement about the justification of the Afghan war. His actions are indeed heroic and he perished trying to save the lives of several men under fire while the enemy was trying to kill medics and wounded rangers and seals.
@@GDBROWN he never shouldve been forced into a situation to die for others that also never shouldve been there.
@GDBROWN why don't you shut up?
That dentist who fought off the Japanese will never leave my mind. That man's a legend among hero's. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER ALLIES
god bless you too
The Japanese where super salty too 😭😂
Don't mess with the Healer's party.
It's why i fear dentists. These guys are dangerous.
@@oiseaudeminerve1478 they're all sadists, only way to be successful. A pissed off sadistic medic/surgeon/dentist with people trying to kill his patients? Yeah that's how you end up with dozens of dead bodies built up around the dead dentist.
I am proud to have met our very own Hawaii senator Dan Inouye, one of the 442nd. He was recorded as charging uphill, getting shot a few times, while throwing a grenade his arm was shot off, so he picked up his arm that was still gripping the grenade and tossed it towards the enemy, he kept charging until he passed out. He then went home to Hawaii and had a wonderful life, passing away in the 2000s.. Go for Broke!
Imagine being in combat and a disarmed man throws him arm thats holding a grenade to you, only to get shot and survive the war. Thats an insane story lol
As a soldier for the last 24 years, these men were raised right and had nothing a lot of others dont have, they were just put in a situation they could protect a brother in arms! God bless them all and im thankful i have never been in their shoes!
You guys should check out the drone footage of this! An epic show of bravery. Sgt Chapman was a true warrior and a badass of the highest order.
My god and i thought never leave man behind and fight until the end only exists in the movie. Chapman and his team are truly amazing and inspirational. No award can ever properly represent the bravery these men demonstrated.
I’m Nisei. My great grandfather was in the IJN and died near Guadalcanal. My grandfather was in the IJA and served in Saipan. He was only 15 or 16 so he was sent back to Japan before the US invaded. I served in the Army and went to Iraq in 2006. Crazy how things turn out lol.
Wow! Chapmans story actually brought a tear to my eye. What an absolute hero! All these mentioned here are incredibly brave and skilled.Thank you from the bottom of my heart to anyone who reads this who has served, our freedom is built off the backs of heros like you
Can you imagine hearing your high school history teacher went on to snipe tanks with bazookas from a plane lmao
Salomon was such a badass. Rip to the most savage dentist ever
ikr
Ben L. Salomon deserves more recognition.
Agreed, absolute badass.
The pride of Jewish soldiers man.
You guys have inspired me to join the US marines after I graduate. I owe you guys for my choice of life, thank you so much ❤️!
Good luck.
Don’t do it, it sucks
thank you for your future service
What's your favorite flavor crayon?
Dont do it
I’m glad you referenced the Canadian who had the longest shot!
All of this Men are very brave and should never been forgotten, my favorite is the dentist
Open wide and say aw

Sullivan: takes time to take off mask, hat, and medical apron.
Never knew that the Germans got banzai'd
Yes! Who else has been waiting for this sequel?!?
Well, when they say part 1 hopefully a part 2 is not too far behind.
If you have not done them yet - would love to see Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart in one of these videos.
I'd like to see a movie on some of these people, like how they did hacksaw ridge.
Give this man 100T subs cause he is the best history teacher
Excellent! Add one more Man of Valor to the list: Pvt. Sammy Davis! Medal of Honor recipient who fought of an entire NVA battalion with a howitzer and machine gun!
Favorite history channel out there
War, horror, strange facts simple history has it all
Great Compilation of heroes under fire. 'Bazooka' Joe's actions would form the legendary A-10 Warthog.
I love your videos I have learned so much thank you
FINALLY IVE BEEN WAITINF FOR SO LONG
Great video honour and respect to all theses men 🙏👍
the attention to detail of the weapons is impressive
Salutes to all legends
Outstanding work on your part! Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you.
Semper Paratus.
I learned all my war history from simple history
Charles was legit just insane. He just straight up went in for the kill.
A true hero. John Chapman. Remember his name and his heroism.
Now would be a good time for a "Unit 442 - The most feared unit" movie.
I've enjoyed watching this series of videos. However, I think you should have included Charles Upham who was awarded the Victoria Cross - twice, for his actions on Crete and in North Africa during WWll, while fighting with the New Zealand division.
A drone
A helicopter
Dozen well trained elite soldiers
A gunship airplane
World class Communication and weapons vs couple of dudes with AKs. Sounds a fair fight to me 😂😂
John “Chappy” Chapman sure was one brave airman.
To what causes men to perform acts of heroism above the call of duty is outstanding. For they have no regards for themselves but rather save their fellow comrades in arms. A brotherhood forged in the brutal combat of war. Godspeed to men who have been in war.
May we never forgot our brave men and women who lost their lives in defending our way of life. War is tragic. Rest in peace!
Amen😇😇😇
We've lost our way of life anyway. We literally live in a fascist technocracy now that hides behind pride flags.
The armed forces really missed out on a great opportunity to use dentists as interrogation experts. 😂😂😂
But thank you so much men For Fighting For freedom and given the ultimate sacrifice you will never be forgotten
A history lesson, and feel good vibe for the day. What more can I ask for!
They will always be remembered as heroes
Gosh in tears with some of these.
I already watched them all thanks for the videos! I hope you see this comment! is the white death better than the white feather do a video about it if you haven't.
Hands down the most creative merch I've ever seen
Imagine all of them fighting for an entire Nation in the same Place and same time
This video was a awesome one for sure love it.. brought back that time when I was younger and always wanted to join the army to service and protect!! 💚🤙🤟
Damn man, a lot of these really tugged at the heart strings... RIP to the fallen heroes.
I’ve been waiting for the second one of these
Rest in peace to all who lost their lives bravery is a understatement 💜
I would love to see if you able to make a animation story for Singapore national hero by the name of leftenan Adnan and his 1st Malay Brigade.. 😊
You guys really need to do a video about Lewis Millet. He lead 3 successful bayonet charges in Korea
This pilot was shot down by an American flying with the Flying Tigers. Great story
Please do a video John Basilone, I've been waiting to see guys pick up on that.
This is the best place I could be right now. Watching this one video
I saw this pop up on my notification wall and I verbally yelled “YES, THEY MADE ANOTHER ONE!”
They should make the first story a mw2 spec ops mission you could play, that'd be so badass.
This is one of the best informative channels ever god bless you all !
Thank you for recognizing the 442...Go For Broke!
My grandfather was a marine & marksman in the Vietnam War.
Another great video man, love them, could you talk about the 3 Brazilians that tried to resist an entire German Battalion and even the Germans erected a cross for them calling them heroes?
the history teachers are the bravest! they know the importance of leaving ones legacy in the annals of time
7:18 Managed to last that long and if only he and the rescue could have managed to hold for just a few more minutes.
Watching videos like this really puts life into perspective. I think people would be better off if they watched videos from this channel instead of comparing their lives to influencers on social media who live dream lives.
Its amazing how despite with low technology the Talibans gave a rough AF time to usa's most capable fighters with their predator drones long range communications satellite systems etc.
You missed the bravest of all Roy Benavides! The real Rambo!
Solomon deserved recognition way sooner
Nice video man!
These stories of such brave men especially the upgrades to medals and medals awarded after death and the medals for the 101st . . . For hours it feel like while I work on constructing an urban house with headphones on I have to choke but the need to sob slightly.
They don't make men like they used to.
The 2012 fellow gives me hope.
Why wasn't the white feather awarded the congressional medal of honor for saving his fellow soldiers lives and taking out so many enemies? I think he certainly deserved it.
I want Audie Murphy
Most decorated u.s soldier in American history...he put a whipping on those nazis...God bless this man
I like that you also included axis forces
I love your history and as much as I love history and videos about it, is there a chance that you are going to do a Cold War video about the Greek Civil War?? 🇬🇷
I’m gonna need more of these videos chief
Can you do one about Chris Kyle? If you can do one story that takes place in Afghanistan, I’m sure you can do 1 About Kyle.
when i was 2/ ii went to join the army because i felt very patriotic desert storm just started when asked why i wanted to join i said i want
to join my fellow americans fighting with them in desert storm and was told it would be over by the time. i got out of boot camp so i declined,i’m 53 and that’s my biggest regret not putting in at the very least 4 years for my country! theese men and many more including women have also made the ultimate sacrifice for their country the united states 🇺🇸 please people be more respectful to our veterans, without our veteens and current military we might night br free like today, it saddens me to see homeless veterans , some have mental issues not of their own doing but serving their country, lots of PtSD GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
This are interesting to watch. A few others that would be cool to see featured in videos like this would be Alvin York, Francis Pegahmagabow, and Leslie "Bull" Allen.
I am once again asking for a video about us special forces in vietnam
19:41, they're doing the Dolphin dive. Nice.

You should do Kyle Carpenter next. Shielded an enemy grenade to protect everyone but survived
Need 8 volumes of this
Lol, "you WILL NOT interfere with the ground forces!"
