@Chris Kibodeaux ah, the classic must-tear-down-others-to-feel-better-about-myself comment. The internet never fails to disappoint (as disappointing as that is).
His ability to make the crowd laugh and enjoy themselves even when he made a mistake if first class. Many others make you feel cringe when it happens, but he turned it into part of the act. Well done 👌🏽
I can't tell if the drops were intentional or not. Perfect execution either way. If they were intentional it was a flawless part of the act, if they weren't he played them out so well it seemed part of the act.
No, they're not intentional, but he has a pre-prepared routine for all the things that might go wrong. This competition is at the IJA (International Jugglers' Association) where the audience is primarily jugglers, so he's doing his technical but 90% tricks, because that's what they want to see. For a different audience, he'd stick to his 100% tricks.
For some reason YT was recommending Michael Davis juggling vids and, well, he was funny and decent at juggling. Then I thought, wait, I wonder if there is a world championship for juggling. And now I'm here. Good show Zak. Best juggling I've ever seen.
I thought that I'm a pretty good juggler, I even teach others. But after watching this movie I already know I have a long way to go :) I'm so impressed, fantastic skills!
It’s been many moons since I attended an IJA festival, and I had not heard of this person. Damn, he brings not just mass skill in juggling, but his choreography talent I have not seen. Bravo!
We will need this kid when the evil alien clowns come to challenge us to a juggling competition. The fate of our planet rests with you Zak. Keep up the good work.
You remind me so much of Tony Pezzo. When he used to come to St. Louis Juggling Club I told him when was 9 years old work hard & you will achieve greatness & he did just like you are doing. Fantastic work man! You deserve it!
I really don't give damn if the drops were intentional or not, it to me portrays that nothing in life is without flaws, in a way of speaking, this was poetry at its juggling best.!
Holy crap ! That's fire ! O_O Just wow wow, especially at 5:12, the rings seem to hover in the air ! Beautiful ! I love how are those mistakes handled, very good !
I didn't know what IJA was but I had seen Michael Davis and Frank Olievier before and man you made me remember their routine... Here is an "F" for respect !
That Zak is awesome! He has worked hard & never gave up. Every time I drop in to watch, he has added at least one new routine. Many times I’ve watched him when I am down about something or not feeling well I watch Zak & when I’m thru I one come away smiling!
Unbelievable! especially the ball juggling behind his back. Let's not however pretend that the drops were intentional (not all of them for sure) they never look good. He just very cleverly covered them up. Especially when he dropped a ball and then laid the others out in a row. Can't fault his performance at all. Ridiculous talent 👍👍👍❤
One criticism, a couple of drops that he didn't repeat, to conclude the trick correctly. BUT, man that dude is good!! Five balls behind the back totally blew me away!! The level of control of all props was extraordinary, I can't imagine just how much practice goes into becoming that good!! Wow!! 😊😊
Shoes off!! But yes, I agree that was amazing. It makes me want to join the IJA again after many, many years of not really doing much juggling at all. I did get my beanbags out again last week to keep myself entertained while quarantined.
What the ... did I just watch? Damn that was amazing and entertaining! Huge skills, maximum of respect! Even the drops look like their where on purpose... I still believe that there was no single drop, all was part of the show...very well done, dude!
The fact that you can ask the question is all the answer we need. He's so good we're wondering if it's meant to be. If it was me there would be no doubt -- klutz!
Amazing juggling! I love how you go to the limits of possibility. You push to the edge of reason, going to a drop, and then rushing far beyond it and then again! Fantastic! You are truly World Class!!! Any tips for how to jump from 3 to 5 balls?
What's up fam congratulations, Zak if you read this I have been doing some looking around on the web. I have noticed a few things about you. I believe we may be related in someway, I want to tell you a few things that may help me ,us if you are interested. Most of my dad's family is from the little rock ,Ak, about around 1940s, my dad was born in the 50s there. Then his family moved to Kansas, my great uncle started a oil drilling company around Eldorado,ks area. Pretty cool to see that trick bouncing the ball off the crook in you arm, my dad thought me that when I was a kid.
That is really great, I really like how you smoothly transition from a "drop" to a "on purpose" evolution. That chasing of the ring at the end - epic! :D Have you tried to apply for Cirque du Soleil? I think you would be awesome with this type of act there! Good luck!
not sure about the Soleil thing, they need flawless jugglers that can perform without drops night after night, even if the tricks were more smooth and less "creative"
I know that the link to the song is in the description but it sucks that its not exactly the same. There are instrumental parts in this edited version which make it double as nice
The fact that I had to rewind between 0:20 and 0:26 more times than I care to admit just to catch what he did with the pins was spectacular in and of itself. Flaws aside, this performance was amazing!
It’s all really different than what the general public would see a juggler normally do as since this is a competition the difficulty is seriously amped up in comparison to a show that you’d see on a cruise ship or elsewhere. As there is incredible difficulty drops can be somewhat common but they do deduct from the score a competitor receives.

I had goosebump watching that. I like how every drop looks almost it was made on purpose. It was a really good performance Zak!
I'm still not sure the drops weren't intended..
That was magical! So many patterns and concepts I’ve never seen before, all done so cleanly. Love the song choice too!
His ability to make the crowd laugh and enjoy themselves even when he made a mistake if first class.

Steve Martin in the 80s reminded me juggling is rad. He's why I'm here. Thanks for being good at it. :)
I've watched this so many times, this is legit one of the most entertaining acts I've seen.
