These were 2 amazing videos you've created! Sometimes the stigma is the hardest part. I've struggled with mental illness for ages and i've discovered that being transparent about it has helped me so much! People who just don't get it will naturally fade out of your life. It hurts but you learn to accept it.
Oh ya! That "what do you have to be depressed about" thing pisses me off!! I have dealt with depression for 20+ years and that has been said to me so many times! Thanks for this video!
I'm so impressed with you. I think it was an important video not only for people with mental/health issues but for all of us who might be beating themselves up for being moody or not particularly social on certain days or whatsoever. Like you said, sometimes it's enough to just get out of bed and it's fine! Thank you, sending you muchos good vibes for today, tomorrow and whenever you might need it.
Been binge watching all your old videos because your lovely and hilarious but had to watch these past two videos as they resonate strongly with me and my family thank you so much. It's nice to know your not alone x x x
I applaud you for making these videos. It's so brave to put yourself out there and the fact that you can help someone doesn't make it less hard. Living with a mental illness is not easy and people are not aware of that. Making jokes and irony is also my way to deal with things :-)
I dropped all connections with a close friend I had because when I told her I was suicidal, she told me I was being shallow. I thought about what she said at first but I was hurt because in the past, no matter how small her problems were, I always helped out and supported her, but now that i'm the one who needs a listening ear, I get told I was being shallow... I feel guilty sometimes, but then there were also times in the past where she was...insensitive..? Anyway, I loved this video, Rhi... I ugly-cried for a while, but it kinda felt like i was cleansing my soul *as weird as that sounds* XD
+Lady Cousland Ugh i'm so sorry you went through that with your friend... i definitely know that situation and its horrible but in some weird way.. best to know? Sometimes we all need a good ugly cry to let it out, doesn't sound weird at all
+Rhian HY you're right. Because now that i think about it, it was for the best... Sometimes you just have to leave negative people in your life for you to move forward and heal. I am getting better now though. I'm seeing a psychiatrist and therapist weekly and i find that it really does help. Also, thank you for speaking about your mental health. Even if it's just a video, knowing that there are others out there struggling, but trying to conquer their mental issues can be a big thing to some people... ok, i'll stop babbling XD i wish you all the best, Rhi ❤
Hi! I've only recently started to suffer with panic attacks and anxiety ( it started when I got a bad chest infection and my asthma got bad) and I'm still figuring it all out but your videos have helped a lot. I also lost my dad 3 weeks ago and I'm finding that difficult too. Thank you for these videos though as I now realise I'm not just the only one to suffer!
Thank you for both videos Rhian, for being so open and honest...lots to think about. Been on a 'pram' for years! ( Wonder if I still feel? Not sure I do.) Took an anti-depressant from Dr years ago that told me to kill myself! I'd never had suicidal thoughts before that, came off it right away. x
+melodyshines Its definitely scary how medications can make us feel but i'm so glad you recognized it as a side effect! If you're unsure of anything regarding your pams... please ask your doctor for guidance if you can
