When I first listened to Epic, Just A Man was definitely my favourite of the two
I don’t know if this comment will get viewed, but the Odyssey is the best known recording (by the 8th century BCE poet Homer) of the even more Ancient Greek mythology surrounding the Trojan war and the hero Odysseus’s adventures after it. Jorge Rivera-Herran’s musical is a bit beyond “fanon”. He began adapting the Odyssey to modern rock opera format for his senior project in university. He began writing it at age 22 and is in the process of finishing the post-production of his 40-song epic currently (age 26). Final saga release is TBA.
This was great. You got them to listen now they'll stay in the fandom😅, there is no escaping it. I wish I could see more now. Maybe you could just give them run down of the 10 years in war. It could help them to better understand and follow more easily. Also, it's wonderful that they like Polites. He's such a heartbreaker😊, but we love him. Can't wait for them to see more of him. And how they immediately liked Penelope is so cute. Now they just have to wait a couple of sagas to see her. But they'll get to see more of Ody simping over his beautiful wife, even though he is a bit of a shy guy himself😉.

But yes, apparently in the Caribbeans (where this particular Jorge was born) it's pronounced Horay. By the way, the infant dying is not a proper spoiler. The concept album is coming out one saga at a time so when Gigi drew those animatics the fate of the infant wasn't known. Jorge himself confirmed that Odysseus did kill the baby. The songs from the fisrt two sagas were produced by a company that had a bad job relationship with Jorge and he gains very little from those songs being played on serives such as Spotify or UA-cam, so he founded his own company and re-recorded those two sagas (if you plan on going on, please make sure you're watching animatics with the new versions!). When that happened, Gigi made new videos with the same animatics but the new music and, right at the end of Just a Man, she added some frames showing Odysseus' hand letting go. By the way part 2: some of you might know Odysseus him by The English rendition of his Latin name, Ulysses.
