    how these lasted longer in service than the SLFs, the C35s and the '05 C40s astonishes me.

      Because they’re diesel! They don’t expire! So they can typically last 2 to 3 years longer than a CNG Bus which can only last 12-15 Years!

    Amazing video I can't believe this bus is 24 years old and still on the road she sounds so good I was going to ask with your permission can I use her for an audio recording

      Yep! Soon to begin retirement though from what I was told…

      They’re gonna try and put their new buses into service in June but there is a bus shortage right now so if any problems arise with the new buses these might stick around.

    New LECIP LF-7000 farebox on an older NCTD bus. 1134 still strong

      Woah…shocking to see new boxes being installed on these dinosaurs. Our 2006 D40LFRs will not be receiving the new Genfare FastFare fareboxes. Sad to see but we hardly run the LFRs we have anymore so it’s not justifiable to install new, expensive hardware in something that will be retired any day now.
