I lived there as a young child up to 1977, so just after the first Tesco and before The Mall was knocked down. Rod Stewart took Britt Ekland to the origin Fox pub in the early 70s. His sister lived in Foxhollow.
Was in a pile of old VHS tapes when we cleared out my late dad's house. I lived in Bar Hill from 79 to 96. My parents were there a few years earlyer than that.
I used to work at Johns fish shop, 88-91ish. We won the pools actually. Wonderful woman’s name just popped into my head Pat Nunn used to work there. Wonderful woman hard worker decent travelled in from Cambridge as well , as did I on the bus
@@pmutch Bless John yeah distinctive face fashioned by too many early mornings and late nights I think I remember he was a long-distance lorry driver prior to that but I can’t be sure. I didn’t really serve I was one of the Fryers. I think my colleague was called Simon I can’t be sure too long ago. I remember he was really into his oils. I’d never fried in dripping prior to that. We then went on to Use groundnut oil. Personally I prefer vegetable oil.
