I am so sorry you have been hurt....sometimes people can just be cruel. Please don't lump us all together.....not all Christians are like the ones that hurt you. I am glad you are still open to learning more. May God free you of that hurt and help you to get your joy back on!

I go to church for many reasons, but one of them is that I am a sinner. I, too, have been hurt by Christians. Often times we do bump into others with our own luggage, and it can be very hurtful to the ones we bang into.
I'm an Irish Catholic. I stopped going to Mass but still prayed on my own. I just purchased a bible last week as a result of watching your Sunday morning videos with Dawn. I didn't know where to start. Thank you for this, now I do.

I enjoyed waking up to see you on Sunday morning’s with Dawn. I’m Catholic ( universal Christian) . When Jesus asked his disciples to stay awake with him 1 hr. In the Garden of gethsemane. Before he was going to be taken. That is our Holy Hour in the Blessed Sacrament. Everything I have gone through. I had two choices blame God ir get closer for strength. My faith has always been strong. No matter what I go/ gone through. The enemy hates it. I will say “Jesus I love you more than myself. “ Being faithful and trusting. God has a plan. Thank you for this! I've always struggled with routines and being organized (why I ended up on Dawn channel😉) and even though I've been a christian all my life and now in leadership I've never found a way to be consistent in my devotional time. To be honest the last many years I've just given up. I've never realized it but the stress response is SO real!! I want to want it because I see how it affects the lives of thoses who do it. Many in my tradition/country talk about the importance of this but I think we forgot to teach it practically especially for grown ups. And I think my failures in this already started as a preteen with a one size fits all approach and has now become negative self talk and beliefs wich is reinforced every time the importance is reiterated. This has given me the motivation to try again. ❤ (Also wow.. my first comment on a UA-cam video ever 😂)
Diana, I wanted to thank you for turning me on to the Bible Recap. For years I have been reading my NLT Chronological Bible but it turned into "an obligation, mark off a to do for the day". Maybe I just needed a "refresh/reset", but I have been doing TBR every day since Jan 1 and it has been so encouraging. I have learned so much. I read a hard bible following the reading plan and watching the wrap up video. Thanks Diana.
I cannot tell you how excited I am about this. Every Sunday I would be left with the desire for more after you would pray. Yes I study my Bible on my own and even in a different Bible study but there is just something about the way that you speak and the way that you explain that resonates with my heart so thank you very much for the time and the effort and for following the Holy Spirit to share the word of God with all of us. 💗🦋🙌🙏🎉

I often echo my friends words, ‘God presents you with people, ideas, or things in your life when you need them.’ Your channel and the way you present the Lord’s message is right on time! Thankfully, I come from a very religious family history but could do better connecting with the Lord personally and on a more regular basis. Minimalism has afforded me the time and energy to realize it IS doable and I am so excited to (re)start. Your Sunday videos with Dawn always made me cry, in a good way; I knew your prayer at the end was God allowing me to feel and release my emotions which I don’t do often. My favorite time of day is getting up an hour before the kids, grabbing a cup of hot tea, sitting down in front of a window that faces the sunrise, and digging in to the Word. Actually, I do wash my face and stretch first - because that helps me wake up. I really enjoyed the messages you shared on Dawn's channel, and look forward to hearing more here. I would love to hear more of your overseas story.

Hi Diana, I’m really excited that you are making your own videos now. I have been watching Dawn’s channel for the last 8 or so months and love your Sunday’s together. I also started the using Dwell and the bible Recap after hearing you talk about it. I’m up to about day 85 now and I’m so happy with that. I’ve wanted to read through the bible for a few years now but would often get frustrated with the Israelites through their time in the wilderness and not make it past exodus. So I’m really grateful to have pushed through to Joshua now and listening to TLC’s podcasts has definitely helped me to get this far. Thanks for starting me on this journey and I look forward to more of your videos.

When I heard the name Becky Tirabassi I about jumped out of my skin! I heard her speak at a church womans thing back in 1991, I think. At that time I purchased her "My Partner Prayer Notebook". I wore that thing out and God sent me another via a friend. This newer one is also worn. Goodness gracious, wish I could send a photo of how jammed it is with stuff from my time spent in prayer and study. Lately I have been purchasing inexpensive lined notebooks from Walmart then I decorate the cover with my paper crafting to personalize it. I have many of those, all dated, and in a bin. Coming over from Dawn's channel. Thank you for being such an encouragement. In 2020 I was determined to read through the Bible in a year. I was so excited I actually started in Dec 2019! I was doing great up until the end of June. Kids got out of school, we got out of a routine...I know these are just excuses. I am determined to get back on track, but I wanted to point out what happened when I fell off the wagon! I began having more migraines, restlessness, agitation, unfocused. I couldn't figure out what im the world was going on, what had changed in just the last couple of months....I quit doing my Bible study! I was still attending church but I wasn't diving deep into God's word like I had been. That was it! Now I'm getting back into it because I know God has amazing plans for me when I do!
Thank you for starting your own channel. I am enjoying these videos. I am retired, (as of Dec 2019,) so I have more time now. I have read through the Bible in a year several different times. The One Year Bible and blog are good resources. I have also read through a Chronological Study Bible, and Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind study bible. This year I am following the M'Cheyne Chart of Daily Bible readings as listed in D.A. Carson's two "For the Love of God" devotional commentaries, which have 365 daily readings. The M'Cheyne plan goes through the OT once, and the NT twice in a year. I am also doubling up on the daily readings, because I started late this year. I am going to start a revival prayer and bible study group soon. I also went to a Catholic college for my freshman year. I was in Catholic school for grades 2 - 8. Now I attend a Baptist church in NC. I call myself an eclectic Christian. 😊
Excellent presentation outlining the preparation needed to form a daily Bible reading/study habit. Satan will try to sabotage our efforts but having a plan and making a commitment before hand will definitely help us be successful. Good and solid suggestions to start! So good, Diana! I will say the thing that brought me a desire to read and study God's word more and more is to find God's heart and His true nature in His word. Once we perceive Him in the correct way, we can't wait to see and hear Him in everything we read from Genesis to Revelation. We see His goodness and His joy for us-- all throughout His word and it sets us free from discouragement and fear. It's truly life changing! Also... you had me at 'fresh ground coffee...'😂☕️
Thank-you for your encouragement Diana. I’ve been really struggling lately so I’m going to try this method of study. I’m thinking coffee AND chocolate.
One of the ways that I have become accountable is to have two prayer partners. And each day we text each other the notes from our study time. I write down all of my intercessory prayers as well so sometimes my notes can be anything from 8 to 10 pages. But they like reading it because they then for who I prayed for. Right now we are going through Proverbs by date so we are all studying the same thing. Later we may not be studying the same thing but we will all be in one accord.

I have gotten out of the routine of my daily reading so this is just what I needed as a prod. I do remember the amazing feeling of God revealing and speaking to me in ways I never felt possible! I love the Key Word Study Bible. (Especially the NIV, but I also use it in the ESV and NKJV). They are different as they have lexical aids and such that helps me dig so much deeper. ❤️🙏🏻 Thank you, this is so good!
I’m glad to know you! Dawn has helped me so much in my journey to own less as a wife and mother of 4! I’m so thankful too that she has introduced you to me as well! I began studying my Bible daily in the early years of my marriage and struggling with infertility. I continue to read and study the Bible regularly, sometimes more time than others as you’ve shared depending on the season of life. However my focus has remained on the New Testament. I’ve only read through the entire Bible once. I e floundered with different study methods but feel so encouraged by the method you’re sharing! Thank you for starting your channel!!! Thank you for sharing your love for God’s Word. I’ve been a Christian for 61 years and have been encouraged to read the Bible daily from a young age. In spite of the amazing opportunities I’ve had to learn from the Word, I still have had long seasons of struggle to do it daily. You mentioned The Bible Recap on Dawn’s channel several times. Then one day you said you IMPLORE me to check it out. The word “implore” was so unusual that it grabbed me and kept coming to mind all week until I checked it out. I’m now on Day 70 and have found fresh excitement in reading the Word. Thank you for imploring me to check it out! Thank you for this! I've always struggled with routines and being organized (why I ended up on Dawn channel😉) and even though I've been a christian all my life and now in leadership I've never found a way to be consistent in my devotional time. To be honest the last many years I've just given up. I've never realized it but the stress response is SO real!! I want to want it because I see how it affects the lives of thoses who do it. Many in my tradition/country talk about the importance of this but I think we forgot to teach it practically especially for grown ups. And I think my failures in this already started as a preteen with a one size fits all approach and has now become negative self talk and beliefs wich is reinforced every time the importance is reiterated. This has given me the motivation to try again. ❤

Diana, I wanted to thank you for turning me on to the Bible Recap. For years I have been reading my NLT Chronological Bible but it turned into "an obligation, mark off a to do for the day". Maybe I just needed a "refresh/reset", but I have been doing TBR every day since Jan 1 and it has been so encouraging. I have learned so much. I read a hard bible following the reading plan and watching the wrap up video. Thanks Diana.
I cannot tell you how excited I am about this. Every Sunday I would be left with the desire for more after you would pray. Yes I study my Bible on my own and even in a different Bible study but there is just something about the way that you speak and the way that you explain that resonates with my heart so thank you very much for the time and the effort and for following the Holy Spirit to share the word of God with all of us. 💗🦋🙌🙏🎉

I often echo my friends words, ‘God presents you with people, ideas, or things in your life when you need them.’ Your channel and the way you present the Lord’s message is right on time! Thankfully, I come from a very religious family history but could do better connecting with the Lord personally and on a more regular basis. Minimalism has afforded me the time and energy to realize it IS doable and I am so excited to (re)start. Your Sunday videos with Dawn always made me cry, in a good way; I knew your prayer at the end was God allowing me to feel and release my emotions which I don’t do often. Thank you for your work and energy on your channel!
I love the idea of setting up a reward system for yourself, even if it's just a positive statement, to connect with the Lord.
My favorite time of day is getting up an hour before the kids, grabbing a cup of hot tea, sitting down in front of a window that faces the sunrise, and digging in to the Word. Actually, I do wash my face and stretch first - because that helps me wake up.
I really enjoyed the messages you shared on Dawn's channel, and look forward to hearing more here. I would love to hear more of your overseas story.

Hi Diana, I’m really excited that you are making your own videos now. I have been watching Dawn’s channel for the last 8 or so months and love your Sunday’s together.
I also started the using Dwell and the bible Recap after hearing you talk about it. I’m up to about day 85 now and I’m so happy with that. I’ve wanted to read through the bible for a few years now but would often get frustrated with the Israelites through their time in the wilderness and not make it past exodus. So I’m really grateful to have pushed through to Joshua now and listening to TLC’s podcasts has definitely helped me to get this far. Thanks for starting me on this journey and I look forward to more of your videos.

When I heard the name Becky Tirabassi I about jumped out of my skin! I heard her speak at a church womans thing back in 1991, I think. At that time I purchased her "My Partner Prayer Notebook". I wore that thing out and God sent me another via a friend. This newer one is also worn. Goodness gracious, wish I could send a photo of how jammed it is with stuff from my time spent in prayer and study. Lately I have been purchasing inexpensive lined notebooks from Walmart then I decorate the cover with my paper crafting to personalize it. I have many of those, all dated, and in a bin. Coming over from Dawn's channel. Thank you for being such an encouragement. In 2020 I was determined to read through the Bible in a year. I was so excited I actually started in Dec 2019! I was doing great up until the end of June. Kids got out of school, we got out of a routine...I know these are just excuses. I am determined to get back on track, but I wanted to point out what happened when I fell off the wagon! I began having more migraines, restlessness, agitation, unfocused. I couldn't figure out what im the world was going on, what had changed in just the last couple of months....I quit doing my Bible study! I was still attending church but I wasn't diving deep into God's word like I had been. That was it! Now I'm getting back into it because I know God has amazing plans for me when I do!
Thank you for starting your own channel. I am enjoying these videos. I am retired, (as of Dec 2019,) so I have more time now. I have read through the Bible in a year several different times. The One Year Bible and blog are good resources. I have also read through a Chronological Study Bible, and Joyce Meyer's Battlefield of the Mind study bible. This year I am following the M'Cheyne Chart of Daily Bible readings as listed in D.A. Carson's two "For the Love of God" devotional commentaries, which have 365 daily readings. The M'Cheyne plan goes through the OT once, and the NT twice in a year. I am also doubling up on the daily readings, because I started late this year. I am going to start a revival prayer and bible study group soon. I also went to a Catholic college for my freshman year. I was in Catholic school for grades 2 - 8. Now I attend a Baptist church in NC. I call myself an eclectic Christian. 😊

Good and solid suggestions to start! So good, Diana! I will say the thing that brought me a desire to read and study God's word more and more is to find God's heart and His true nature in His word. Once we perceive Him in the correct way, we can't wait to see and hear Him in everything we read from Genesis to Revelation. We see His goodness and His joy for us-- all throughout His word and it sets us free from discouragement and fear. It's truly life changing! Also... you had me at 'fresh ground coffee...'😂☕️

One of the ways that I have become accountable is to have two prayer partners. And each day we text each other the notes from our study time. I write down all of my intercessory prayers as well so sometimes my notes can be anything from 8 to 10 pages. But they like reading it because they then for who I prayed for. Right now we are going through Proverbs by date so we are all studying the same thing. Later we may not be studying the same thing but we will all be in one accord.

Yet, I realized while watching this video that this is my loving Father's plan for me; His course correction for me right now, a beautiful provision for this stage in my life. I need your channel. I love the Key Word Study Bible. (Especially the NIV, but I also use it in the ESV and NKJV). They are different as they have lexical aids and such that helps me dig so much deeper. ❤️🙏🏻

I began studying my Bible daily in the early years of my marriage and struggling with infertility. I continue to read and study the Bible regularly, sometimes more time than others as you’ve shared depending on the season of life. However my focus has remained on the New Testament. I’ve only read through the entire Bible once. I e floundered with different study methods but feel so encouraged by the method you’re sharing!

I just found your channel. I have recently re-dedicated myself to the Lord. I am still watching my church service virtual on Sundays. Its a non denominational church. I was raised Catholic. I live in FL. Looking forward to watching your videos re: studying the bible which to be honest is all very new to me. The translations I have are the NIV and NIV Study Bible and the NLT.

Thank you for sharing your love for God’s Word. I’ve been a Christian for 61 years and have been encouraged to read the Bible daily from a young age. In spite of the amazing opportunities I’ve had to learn from the Word, I still have had long seasons of struggle to do it daily. You mentioned The Bible Recap on Dawn’s channel several times. Then one day you said you IMPLORE me to check it out. The word “implore” was so unusual that it grabbed me and kept coming to mind all week until I checked it out. I’m now on Day 70 and have found fresh excitement in reading the Word. Thank you for imploring me to check it out!
