Bro I’m hopefully moving to South Carolina next year so I can start my bully ranch because in New York they consider bullies Pitbull’s and I’m tired of it and I’m getting a lot of land I have two bearded dragons which one is 16 years old and I have turtles and fish
Please make sure you are dosing iodine to the water and testing. Keep nitrates low so it can absorb iodine. Iodine is integral to a sharks survival and will stop goiter. Goiter stops the shark from being able to swallow. :) I would remove as much of the rock work as possible too so it can have more room to swim. (I'm a shark keeper myself) if you ever need advice on anything hit me up. Please like this so Nick can see this!
If you really are a shark keeper then I doubt that you have been doing it for very long because even amateurs would know that it depends on the species. This particular species needs a lot of room to swim whenever they get quite bigger than this one currently is but when they are this small they need less swimming room and more hiding places.
@@McChimkin123 yes I am a shark keeper and have been for quite some time. :) are you too? . It does indeed depend totally on species however you will also know that Nick is known within the marine community for having a lot of "missing" or dead animals. Including his previous sharks, which were in less than ideal habitats. Therefore these wide general tips are in a bid to allow nick to begin to understand their care. Usually if you say " You can have rock work for hiding spaces" 70 percent of the floor surface of the tank tends to be rock in the marine hobby. @@alexpritchard8117 You should of phrased it like that to begin with, or people are gonna misinterpret what you say.................like I did. Fun Fact: Did you know that Iodine is also needed in the human diet? In the past, the main source of Iodine for humans was freshly caught saltwater fish and inverts, and because those are not very abundant in places far from the sea/ocean/shore, Iodized salt was invented. It was intended to be a more accessible source of iodine for those who live more inland, but is now the main source of iodine in most countries for both people who live inland and for those who live close to the sea.
Love from Sri lanka ❤❤❤ U must keep the blue ghost shrimp in a small tank cause it is super rare and you must get some fresh water fish and build a tank 4 them. Can't wait to see you surprise Paul. Keep up the awesome work , appreciate your work.
Rlly bc they turn blue when they stressed lol my amano shrimp was blue when I got him and after 2 or 3 weeks he had its normal color so its not rare lol😂
Those puffers were green spot puffers, therefore require brackish conditions as they age. If you wanted to get completely freshwater puffers, i'd suggest the Amazon Bumble bee puffers. They dont grow too big, very sociable and often kept as community fish. Could fit 3 (min number) in a 50 gallon tank, plus other fish. Just a suggestion
I just got some freshwater Pea Puffers today. Super cool fish. They are aggressive and try to eat/attack everything. Get a 20 gallon and put 5 or 6 in it.
Those puffers looked like leopard puffers, which means brackish puffers. Pet stores often market them as fresh, but they do not do well at all in freshwater
Joey had a cool idea with the puffers , but would be really cool to see someone do something like a MBU side by side next to whatever saltwater puffer gets big like MBUs do, do something like once a week vlogs on which one grows faster, any interaction between the two, etc..
00:01 Nick: What is going on everyone. Me: Nothing's well.NOT HOPING FOR THIS YEAR TO GET BETTER.Hope 2021 gets some great feeling and new sunshine of betterment. Till then try to stay smiling.👍🏿
I have yet to see any of the larger/more popular fish youtubers have a brackish dwarf mudskipper tank, so why not have one of those with 2-3 brackish fiddler crabs (male/female ratio should be 1m/1f or 1m/2f) instead of a freshwater tank. (1-3 backish clams of a small species would also be good since clams help keep the water both clean and *clear* and some brackish snails/nerite snails would help keep the water, substrate, and glass clean. mudskipper tanks should be setup with a land/water ratio of: *67%L / 34%W* nnor *50%L / 50%W* with a sand/mud substrate, driftwood both partially submerged and on land, and some rocks/fake rocks to climb. The land should always be slightly moist/wet/muddy and should not be allowed to completely dry. Mudskippers are a type of Goby with arguably more personality than Bettas, clownfish, and pufferfish combine and spend a lot of their time hopping around on wet/muddy land and will become even more active than normal whenever they see you with their food, hopping around their entire aquarium quite rapidly kind of like how a dog gets extremely happy/excited and then starts to run in every direction possible around you whenever you get home after being gone for a few hours. In other words, they are like a semi-aquatic dog with eyes on top of its head like a frog. (Obviously like most animals, they aren't gonna be very active whenever people are around at first until they get used to you but whenever they DO get used to you, they will be both hilarious and interesting to watch due to their goofy and curious nature).
You should get a 40 gallon freshwater tank and get a couple pea puffers you probably won’t see this but I thought it would be pretty cool because I had them before and they are like little dogs
