That winning trick is insane 😮 the nollie heel 3 was sick too
Tony hawks voice... is just so comforting and soothing 🥲
❤💞💋
I was born in 1975…I was lucky enough to grow up as the skateboard did. It’s an honor to be here now as new lives are changed forever by such a timeless and noble pursuit. ……Tom
74 checking in. Skateboarding saved my life more than once. Cheers my friend
@@jonproctor4256 I wonder where all those characters from my hometown went from the good old days. I hope everyone is well.
Thank you for checking in ! I feel like the good old days are here again when I see these old schoolers skate!
Some heavy stuff going down! Moto is incredible, but I do hope to see that kickflip 900 some day!
Moto was the only guy who you could see getting closer on each attempt. Most of the other guys never got close and weren't getting any closer. It's not impressive to get lucky. It's impressive to show consistency getting close and then finally break through. Respect the crowd. People don't come to a contest to watch you practice or experiment. They want to see the results from what you've already worked on.
I got Buckys first switch rodeo flip at the Y tony you were filming from the bottem my film is from the deck

Holy shit... Moto pulling that out with only 35 seconds left is insane.
Im having major deja vu 🤔
Moto is a skateboard God 💪
I’m curious how many viewers have at least dropped in on a vert ramp? 👋
The host on the left made this and the full contest almost unwatchable. He kept disctracting with off-topic questions, making the show about himself, and kept talking over the skaters on the ramp. Please, next time let us watch the skaters with less random talking from someone not even paying attention to the skating. Thanks.
I’ve skated with dude . Lol
I think they were text questions sent in by viewers or someshit to try and make it interactive with the audience like they do with damn near every fkn thing these days. But yeah, it's not Americas got talent. Stfu and just let us watch the skating. Or just have Hawk and someone else who knows wtf they're talking about like Burnquist do the commentary and enough with the everything has to be interactive bs questions already. Anyway, that's my little rant lol. 🤷♂
Interesting, I didn’t even see any commentators. I only saw skating. As someone who skated very I get so locked in to the skating I could t tell you what the commentators are saying 😆
Tremendous !
Big ups motto
Dope 🤟🏽
Insane
MOTO
What ever happened to @ride doing the Freelunch or WeekendBuzz segments? Remember those???
They used to do a bunch of cool stuff. I miss that.
Bring back shredit cards
wtf is this a Falling contest?
He said. "Extra credit here " referring to tricks done after the clock. Lmao. Most didnt even pass the exam. Lol. Moto wins. Duh
my mum fell asleep
still wondering when someone does a "whirlpool": straight up and out, grab, 360 yaw spin away from and back to ramp, land switch (basically just imagine a board grab when you are in a whirlpool...). 360 / 720 / 1080 etc, clockwise or counter...
😵💫
man do ppl even land anything anymore lol i know its best trick but dam...😪😴
Borinaf
The surfing commentator is super annoying..!

why do commintators ask such silly questions ?? just put the pros on who know what they talking about
Three out of four are/were Pro. And just as you didn't realize that they were Pro, others watching might not know vert skating at an intimate level.
I'm hoping that's a joke as Tony Hawk is one of the *commentators 😂
tony and Jason are both pro Vert skaters you neanderthal
Your the perfect example of someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about
@@rideThe one guy he's talking about is asking completely distracting and nonsensical questions.... He straight up ruined the commentary...
Street best trick = badass and clutch.... Vert best trick = maybe I will land something ...eventually. and even when I do, it will be a trick that I've done before. Over and over and over
Try skating vert yourself first, then talk
I kinda disagree, but best trick comps are definitely more engaging to watch when it's not the top skaters in the world.
The difference here is that street best trick skaters rarely ever do an NBD, Yuto's really the only one pulling out NBD's atm.
Meanwhile in this high of a level of vert best trick most people are trying extremely rare tricks or NBD's.
Kickflip melon 9 is nbd, alleyoop kickflip mctwist is either extremely rare or nbd, judo 9 was nbd. That's really the difference, but if you really wanna see Kelvin or Giovanni do their 200th fakie backside spin to board or lip on a handrail that's 1 step smaller than it was last comp then do your thing king, I like that too.
I have no idea what this dude is talking about. It's actually more the other way around. Moto just did a trick that has never been done before by anybody. Every kickflip bluntslide on a rail or whatever in a street best trick contest has been done houndreds of times before by dozens of different people.
I guess having a single black skater is too much to ask you racists.
Who are some good pro black vert skaters that deserved to be here?
I'm not sure who you are but I've been skating for over 40+years. I've met & skated with a ridiculous array of people over the years. True skaters/artists could care less about skin color, ideology, or any other bs. I'm 52 and still skate when I can. Keep rippin' y'all, nevermind the naysayers. Whatever societal pressures exist do not apply in skateboarding, maybe 1 of the last bastions of true expression. If you don't know than don't try to understand. You will be lost and have empathy who do not. Skateboarding has become too mainstream but the creativity is beyond compare.
Lol what. Skating is just about having fun no matter the color or creed
Me and Dove worked together at the Baltimore Zoo over 25 + years ago. Mad respect for his skate skills and interest/respect for animals, especially reptiles. .
Matt Dove rules.
