I think there were a few moments where Pau looked like she was crying too. This is just an incredible song, even with no knowledge of what it's about :-)
One of my very favorite The Warning songs, I have a very limited grasp of Spanish, but this song is so powerful, the meaning translates itself. Awesome reaction as always!
Considering the amount of time I've spent in Spain, I'm embarrassed that I can't even order beer properly there, and that's the first thing I ever learn in ANY language! But I didn't need to understand the lyrics to appreciate how awesome this song is :)
Nice reaction! This song is so epic, melodic and dramatic, it developed into my Top 3 Warning songs! I am already excited, today my tickets arrived for April 2024 in Cologne/GER! Next huge Euro tour, 19 shows in 9 countries! Will be my 2nd time to see them live! Thanks for supporting this band, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️🤘
I will see them in Prague in April - maybe if my job situation changes between now and then I can also make it to Munich the day before, but right now it's only Prague. I am SO looking forwards to it, and am doing my best to convince friends from all over Europe to go watch them play :-)
@@SpawnMeister666 Prague is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, great beer, food, historic buildings... loved each of my trips to Prague... and now with The Warning! I wish I could go there! 🤘
@@AchimE Prague is an astonishing city. I lived there for a long time, and I go back whenever I can. Seeing The Warning 10 days after my birthday is THE best reason to go back there :-)
Thanks Damien. I love this song others have said this is their Stadium/Arena anthem and I couldn't agree more. It's such a beautiful rocking song in any language but the Spanish language is just beautiful to listen to. 🤘⚡🔥
Don't understand a word. Don't need to. It's a fantastic song regardless of language. Except maybe German, whatever the lyrics mean, I'm sure they aren't so hauntingly amazing in German :-)
Generally one of their final couple of songs, the entire crowd sings along no matter what country they’re in or what language they speak. Doesn’t matter. It has a larger than life feel in a night filled with larger than life songs. Thanks.
I don't know that I can learn two songs in Spanish between now and April, but I'll do my best. This has the feel of an epic "You know we're not done until we play this song" vibe though, akin to Iron Maiden ALWAYS playing Iron Maiden as their final song. I can see the same happening at Rock in Rio 2064 with these ladies :-)
Such an epic song, the official music video has an epic feel that is perfect for the song. Also Dany does an a capella version that really really shows her vocals well.
Teatro Metropolitan is a clear winner, so looking forwards to that. And I think I've seen/heard most of the songs, so I can sit back, drink a beer, and just chat with people instead of having to concentrate and be all 'professional reactionless reactor dude' :-)
This tune is so beautiful, and grabs you no matter what languages you speak. I speak just enough Spanish to get into trouble, and got the gist of it first time I listened, but if you like to delve into it there are many translations available. Someone will probably post the translated lyrics here soon enough. It's kind of a gut-punch for me, because it's a kind of mocking song about people who wallow in their own martyrdom. Which was _me_ , three decades go, and I wasted a lot of my lifetime doing that. I rather wish someone had produced a song like this back then, but since it was around the time these ladies parents were just considering starting a family, sadly I had to wait until long after I dug myself out of that particular pit to hear it. 😋
The tune is beautiful, the vocals are astonishing, the musicianship is phenomenal - it's just a great song, whether you understand the lyrics or now :-)
Always enjoy your reactions, Damien! This song is epic. The lyrics are both critical of and hopeful for people who choose to live a life of martyrdom. I've tried including a translation in comments before but, for some reason, UA-cam blocks them. The best translation I've found, if not perfect, was in a reaction by @c4sb2008 (Machias Music Man), but I can't find the video he reacted to anywhere - ua-cam.com/video/-yHvRKdmYNE/v-deo.htmlsi=29SNMzKBgoug16A2 Take care! :)
Thanks for the link to the translation. As a person with MANY issues of self-hatred/self-sacrifice for the good of others, I might wait until I'm in a better place mentally to do a deep dive into what the song means. But this song hit me in the gut even without knowledge of the lyrics and meaning, which just showcases the talent these ladies have
Always trying my best. Slowly realizing, as I get older, a lot of things that have been buried for decades, and dealing with those things as and when they happen in the best way I can :-)
I love this live version. When Dany's voice cracks part way through her wail, you can hear the emotion so amazingly!

Awesome!!
This EPIC song is a rock anthem!
Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
All their songs are epic rock anthems in fairness. But this is incredible even to someone who doesn't understand it :-)

They will be playing this song in large arenas and stadiums soon and likely still performing it twenty years from now.
I don't need to understand the lyrics to know that this song can be played any place, any time, and bring the house down :-)

I really (don't) wish people would stop giving me tips on other versions of The Warning songs to listen to :-)
Thanks for the great reaction Damien! Just voted for T-Met on your poll and will be there for the live! Martirio = Martyr in Spanish!!!😊⚡️

Su segundo tema en español MARTIRIO es un himno de rock, excelente solo y enorme riff
The song is amazing :-)
Is this an arena anthem or what? I can see them performing this in front of 50,000 people. Fantastic reaction.
I can imagine 40 years from now people in stadiums all around the world KNOWING that the show isn't over until they play this song to say goodbye :-)
Dany's voice so beautiful and unique, shes an angel❤
They are all angels, but yes, Dany's voice is incredible in this one :-)

Pau said she cries almost every time that they’re playing this song.
There are a couple of moments during the video where she looks like she's fighting back the tears, but playing on regardless
