In the mid-90s, my brother and I saw Michael Nunn fight at Foxwoods Casino. My brother (now deceased) loved Michael Nunn and was his favorite fighter. After the fights, my brother went to play Craps, and I started talking with some people I knew. A few minutes later, Nunn comes walking by me, with, I think, his brother. We started talking and I mentioned how big a fan my brother was and that it would really be an honor for my brother to meet him. I asked if he could walk to the Craps tables to find my brother. We walked around, from table to table, for almost a half hour looking for my brother, but we couldn't find him. Finally, Nunn said he was tired and wanted to get to his room. I thanked him and he left. I started playing Blackjack and two minutes later, my brother showed up. Michael Nunn was extremely gracious and generous with his time and is a quality guy. Great fighter too. Glad to see he looks and sounds good here.
Michael Nunn was my favourite fighter back in the late 80's early to mid 1990's.. I was broken hearted watching him get knocked out by James Toney.. I was gutted for Michael but it was great to see him win the 2nd belt.. Can somebody please tell me why Michael ended up in prison? I never knew about that. I was looking up some vieos of Michael's fights and I saw he had been released from Prison, and I was in shock tbh. Here in IRELAND we never heard anything about that and all I knew was Michael wasn't fighting anymore. I used to talk about Michael Nunn to all my mates and to my brothers as well. He was one of the most skillful SOUTHPAW's to ever lace up the gloves.. I want to wish Michael all the best in his future. Keep it real MN bcos u have fans all over the world my friend.. HAPPY NEW YEAR to all in the chat today.. Be good and show the love for this channel and for Michael Nunn and his family..
You gave a him a good fight Crawford. And he gave you plenty of respect after the fight. Big Props mate !!. Nunn really was secound to None and he beat some great fighters. I think Hagler would have beaten , Tate, Barkley, Olijide, Kalumbay but I recon the road would have stopped with Nunn if Marvin Hagler had kept going if SRL had never came bk 🥊. That’s how good Nunn was for me.
So glad he his out of prison. It was a big set up by the police , complete entrapment I think. He did some serious time in jail and he looks really well and speaks good to. It’s finally good to see Nunn back out into society. 🥊 ❤️
What was that all about my bro? I honestly only saw about him being in prison a couple of years back. Swear to God I never knew. He was my favourite fighter but here in IRELAND or the UK Boxing wasn't that big until the EUBANK'S VS BENN VS COLLINS, etc.. Michael Nunn had so many skills. He was so far ahead in his fight with James Toney too. I couldn't believe what I was watching that night. It was gutting but he came back to win again showing his true class as a fighter though. What did the OLD BILL set him up with my bro?? What did they accuse him of doing?
Michael was in prison for almost 17 years, people like Mike Tyson, James Tony, Frank Tate, Iran Barkley & Virgil hill. He says they are all dear friends of his. I’m curious did any of these guys ever visit him in prison. But seriously Michael none was a great fighter who didn’t reach the heights that he should have not sure why, wasn’t sure if that pity Patty style was enough for him to dominate fights, it sounds like when he went to prison, the sentence sentence was much more serious than the crime borderline entrapment, but I wish him the best as he doesn’t seem bitter but at peace with himself

Watched your fight with Piper the other day, great one
Salute to you Mr Crawford you were no slouch!!
This is so cool. I was wondering about Nunn. He looks at peace with himself. Wish you the best, Michael!
At his peak there wasn't many better. Always a fan!
Second to Nunn.
I agree as a kid he made me want to box
I’m so glad to see Michael still looking well and talking well he managed to leave the game virtually unscathed.
he rarely got hit in the head.
He's in much better condition now than he would have been had he been fighting those years.
From Spain, glad to see Michael Nunn. Wish you the best.
