@@AccountingStuff Could you please post some soon? You helped me ace Financial Accounting exams, but this year I'm seriously confused with managerial accounting terms and stuff. I'd be really thankful 🙏😊
hey man great video, I love how often you are uploading, definitely keep at it this is probably the most visually appealing and entertaining channel about accounting i have seen
You just taught me more in 10 mins than my professors ever teach. They are unable to actually speak on anything. They just tell me what chapter to read.
I am in a managerial accounting class right now and I wish you already had a bunch of videos about this such as variable and fixed costs and how to figure them out etc.
You are a truly gifted teacher! Clear and concise with a touch of humour. All we need! Thank you so much for enlightening me in the subject of accounting 🙏
I know you wanna work on the fundamentals before tackling more advanced topics, so I would suggest inventory valuation, (IFRS) revenue recognition, bond amortization, gains and losses (realized and/or unrealized). Thanks for all the good work, keep making quality content and more of us will come.
This is super helpful. I really love how you break down subjects with clear explanations and use clean visuals to get across the most important information! I'm taking an online accounting class with the only resource being a digital textbook, and this way is infinitely easier to learn. You're the bomb bro!
I have to say 1) these videos are so helpful but also, it's really cool to see your confidence increase as the videos go on and as your channel grew! I'm watching these videos for a class but I'm looking to start a business in the next few years so I'll probably watch most of your videos
Definitely a must seen video for the students and also for someone who's doubting between the studies related to financial and managerial accounting! absolutely a thump up for this video.
James, I just want to say thank you so much for posting this video! I have watched a lot of your videos in the past and they are extremely helpful, the best on UA-cam. I am currently doing the AAT bookkeeping and accounting course, and even with all my material and Kaplan books I still can't summarise and grasp all the information in one piece. You present this in such a great way and in 9 minutes it explains the whole of unit one of my book which takes me 3 days to read through. (both are a necessity) but this helps me understand and I love the visuals. I never really comment on UA-cam videos, but I want to show my appreciation and look forward to your upcoming videos. If there is any way I can support this channel, I'm more than willing to do so. I would love to go to New Zealand and Australia for accountancy, as I am from the UK it's really inspiring to see that you live out there.''I think this is what you said in your debits and credits video'' Thanks again, James!
Hey mate, thanks for getting in touch! I originally studied accounting at Kaplan as well - what a coincidence! Their notes are very detailed but it can be hard work getting through them. I think you are approaching your studies from the right angle. Reading the core course materials and getting summaries from UA-cam at the same time. I will this was possible when I was at Kaplan (almost 10 year ago now :/). Getting the ACA definitely made it easy for me to find work when I moved out to Aus. Hopefully you'll find it the same as well. Currently I offer all the content for free because I want to help as many people as possible with the subject. Some day I might make a more cohesive course and put it on Patreon. But as of now I'm just happy knowing that you are finding the content useful. All the best with your studies!
@@AccountingStuff 100-percent, James. I absolutely agree, the Kaplan books are a lifesaver, although, it does take time (as you said) to get through. Not to mention some of their classic mistakes in their answers. But they're great, I can't fault them. As I mentioned before, your videos are so informative and I am a visual learner so this is perfect for me, thank you so much again, James.
I'm really loving all these videos! I recently began work at a company that implements FP&A software for mid to large size companies (it's really cool work, I think you would find it interesting). I'm still finishing my BS in accounting, so it's been a learn as you go kind of thing. Your easy to follow teachings have been incredibly helpful, thank you so much!
I impulsively decided to go back to school and pursue an MBA as a working adult. Crazy. My undergrad work was in science though, so I've had to go back and take several courses in accounting, econ, finance, etc. and your videos have really helped me! Often more than my professors. Your production value is really fantastic, particularly for educational videos, and you do a great job being engaging and informative. Thank you! BTW, anyone ever tell you you look like Cary Elwes?
I've seen only a couple of your videos, but they've been clear and understandable. I'm interested in managerial accounting videos, and I've subscribed because of your promise to make them.
Great video man. Maybe I'm a little biased, since I'm a Certified Management Accountant, but I think there's a place for financial accounting and managerial accounting. Companies can't move forward without management accountants looking into the future and guiding decision-making. Also companies can't move forward without financial accountants to help them understand past performance. Overall good comparison.
Thank you so much! Now I know what's really the focus of my program. I'm currently taking BS Management Accounting here in the Philippines btw. I'm planning to take CIMA exam soon and hopefully ace it.
I’d appreciate it if you did a *Costing/ Cost Accounting* video! I know it’s a type of managerial accounting that “analyzes cost of production using variable & fixed costs” but not much else.
