*half an hour on how the military industrial complex exploits the working class and got his best friend killed* - "So what does this have to do with the Boston Major?"

Love this type of story telling. A little bit too rushed compared to your normal reporting. But it's still fire.

Gather round the campfire and snuggle up, this is the definitive history of the Majors, if not CS:GO as a whole. Truly next level shit Richard, hats off sir 🎩🧙‍♂️

Rich literally Every Major: "It was a weird time in my life" 😂
But seriously, you're an amazing storyteller, and even though I don't even play computer games I could listen to you for hours (Actually am). Many things you say and advocate for can be applied in all facets of life, not only in esports.
P.S. do we get the "I hate it here - Dog, the Bounty hunter special"? ❤

Only 40 minutes in but I can't thank you enough Richard for this content. Learning about early CS from you and all the crazy stories that happened behind the scenes was great. It was like you said in part 1, it's an oral history of the majors. Fantastic stuff. Cheers as always

I remember being so excited to go to the London major as my first ever CS event and then they wheeled out the fucking chicken that they had to predict the winner and I remember just looking at my mates and wondering what the fuck we were watching. There were some moments in the Liquid/Astralis Nuke game that were pretty good as well as the Faze games but apart from that the games were pretty quick blowouts. Was a shame.

Amazing couple of videos. I began following pro cs with the Atlanta major, and listening to this has awoken some very fond memories I have of those years. A couple of anecdotal things I remembered was that Krakow was the major where Big abused the jump bug to 3-0 only to be smashed and for the life of me I can't find it anywhere but I could have sworn on the faceit major pala made a bohemian rhapsody csgo parody which I had forgotten about till now. Anyways, thanks for the amazing content. The way you describe the majors really is amazing, and I just with I had been there for more.

I am very sad BTN makes u suffer so much. Its the best show I've ever watched. I watched every episode and it was my weekly highlight very often.
Have you considered leaving X(twitter) and doing the show with sub for at least 6 months only chat?
What exactly is twitter providing to you at this point? Hire someone you trust 100% to pre-filter your DMs if you really need it for e. g. investigations. Just some thoughts... Your health is the most important, so quitting the bad parts of twitter might be good for you, imo.

    Great content. Thank you.
I find it sad to listen about the rubbings inside the talent workgroups.
It may just be inevetible in an environment prone to activate predatory instincts. Working an event, I wouldn't be intoxicating myself willingly in the vicinity of my business competitors. Sooner or later, someone says something, the other hears another thing and quality drama material is fruiting. The number of such nights in succession doesn't add up to a more happy work environment.

I thought you had lost your mind when you uploaded a 3 hour part 1 Major Tierlist, but after listening to it in just two sessions, I’m so blown away and absolutely hyped for part 2. I was a fan 2015-early 2016, and then fell off until 2019 - missing all of your S Tier events, so getting to hear about these tournaments from someone who was there is an absolute goldmine of knowledge.

God as a Brazilian fan Rio shattered my heart. I've been following the game since 2014, and I got to watch Brazilian CS through insane highs and terrible lows, and a chance to host a major is something we had been waiting for years. All of that just to see a terrible crowd with horrible mistreatment of players really sucked. All we got out of it was empty stadiums and even emptier excuses
I used to adore Gaules, as he truly was a pillar of our CS community, but I also blame him for enabling a lot of the toxic behavior we saw that weekend.

This is the next best thing while anticipating your book on esports. The latter is one of my my most looked forward to pieces of media, but these two videos (or VODs, I watches it on twitch, so I'm not sure if that affects the visibility of my comment) have been amazing for their insight and entertainment, which for me (and I assume lots of your fans) is very much on brand with you.
I do appreciate your decision not to renew btn, get into CS2 and remove yourself from the community step by step, since I wish your well being to have priority.
Nevertheless I wanted to express that you are/were a Jewel to the counterstrike scene!

It's really wild that pgl will always be one of the most unwatchable majors because I remember watching live, my jaw on the floor and my wallet in shambles (I didn't have any money to bet but if I did..) as adren animorphed into a NiKo level threat for one tournament

I always thought Atlanta had one of the best crowds. The chant let's go VP/lets go Astralis almost 50/50 one after another not over top of each other the entire final was so insane. Best chant battle in a major final by far. It added to the huge back and forth brawl that was the final. I never knew people didn't think the crowd was good. Thats wild to me what a great event.

Didn't rush this watch. With how some of the titans of the talent crew faded away, and with some hard core-changes to the game, sadly my own focus also faded. We can't deny what stellar of a game CS:GO and CS is. However, CS:GO early on VS what it became at late 2015 VS after the summer and beyond? The CS i loved is blatantly, vastly, absurdly much more further towards the 1.6 i grew up with than anything else. And at one point, CS:GO was very close to exactly that. But as tend to be, industries rise and fall. And so does the talent. And so does a game that is managed by people that seemingly only grasp what a green paper slip is worth and not what competition and heroic glory consists of. Maybe it's why many and most of the valve CS dev people rarely if ever seem to do what is needed in order to have an ethically sound game? It's so hard to say, but something is wrong within valve and i think it's their blatantly casual core as a company that will only shine ever so rarely. But won't ever glow indefinitely. Valve got lazy. And blind. That's what comfort does to any fat company, just look at Intel and their absurd new-agenda corporate environment. And now, they also struggle hard to keep up with AMD. To summarize: The largest most popular chip/cpu company on earth is sucking massive dong and are blatantly loosing vs a company that's lead by a great woman. My recent theory from today, is that they are immune to the rainbow stuff by those 2 things. One, immunity thanks to Lisa Su - Two, their justified hatred is burning bright red against Intel and Nvidia literally trying to un-alive their company several times over. Greedy people in the corporate world tend to ruin things that goes far beyond their comprehension. It's sad, really. From a more balanced point of view, it's like watching children steal from each-other. Anyways, sick video. And may CS somehow get back to it's roots.
