God I wish I could do this. I have a Shuttle bus that used to be a dentist office and trying to gut it and it’s so hard. It has the medical grade cabinets and tons of wiring and plumbing. It’s just me working on it. A 42 yr old mom. I just want some adventures with my kiddos
I'm working on our Skoolie's shower now; how's the tile holding up? I've been trying to figure out what waterproofing system I wanted to go with. Been toying with the idea of using an uncoupling membrane to reduce chance of cracking. Thanks for the videos!
It's a struggle to watch these videos. I find what you have to say interesting and would really like to listen but the music is blasting so loud that I find myself too busy modulating the volume control. I hate leaving what may appear to be a negative comment but I wish you would keep the levels consistent. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback, Steve! We’ve actually run into that watching other UA-cam videos as well, so I’m so sorry! I hadn’t noticed it before and will look into it and fix it. This would be helpful: 1. Is it mostly the change in volume between talking and music or is it hearing the talking when there’s music behind it? And 2. What kind of device do you typically watch on? (I want to watch the same way and get a feel for it.) Seriously, thanks for the comment!! And for watching. We’ll do better going forward!
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys I watch your videos on a desktop pc with a pair of Altec Lansing speakers with a subwoofer. The music between the dialogue increases, sometimes drastically. I turn the volume down and then somebody starts to speak and I have to turn it up again. I have to be at the ready with the volume control because I know what's coming at the end of whatever you're explaining, I sometimes think my speaker may get blown! By the way, you're doing a great job with the bus.
Thanks for the video; the mud shower pan is on my upcoming list of projects! Cool idea to kerf the 2x4 to match the ceiling arc. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much!! Yeah, it’s going to have a composting toilet in there, too, which will make it feel a little smaller, but we planned for a “big” bathroom (for a skoolie). Gotta have SOME nice things. Thanks for watching!
Hey there, my boyfriend and I are in the middle of our bus build, we are getting close to putting up the cement boards and outside paneling but we were curious what you used as the outside wall paneling for the bathroom
Who is the plumber helping you? We are 3hrs from Dallas and would love to contract him for our skoolie shower. We plan to purchase a shower stall and pan all in one to try and make it a more simple😉
Cody's dad is a plumber, but he lives in the northeast. He visited three time last year to help us out with the build. I don't know any plumbers in Dallas, sorry!
Drooling over the bathroom and it’s not even finished yet! 😍 Was that shot of Lowe’s from your back window on purpose? I thought that was cool lol. Great video this week!
Thanks, Jess!! We’re very excited about the bathroom. Hoping it’s gonna be awesome!! Haha no, the Lowe’s shot was a complete accident (but if any Lowe’s marketing peeps are watching...👀)
New to your channel. Best wishes for great build. If I may make a suggestion ? I have to turn the sound up to hear your voices, and then your music comes on really loud and I have to quickly turn down the sound to keep from harming my ears. Could you work that out a bit better ? I know in the scheme of things it’s a small matter, but if you want regular viewers perhaps you would consider it? Thank you.
Thanks for watching, and we appreciate the feedback. We heard that from a few people this week, so we’ll try to work on that going forward. Thanks for the comment!
Love the way yall did this!! We are building a smaller bus and I'm concerned about the cement wall weight but waterproof foam board is expensive. Did the weight concern ya'll at all?
Not specifically. Our main concern was keeping the shower head in the tallest part of the bus and then as far back as we could (to the bed). The bus will certainly flex and likely create tile maintenance down the road. We’re using smaller tiles to help, but the main thought was that we wanted a fully tiled wet bath, despite the risk.
Hey guys, it actually came with the shower head, but we had to check the spec sheet to make sure it would fit in our walls (made of 2x3 instead of 2x4). Luckily, the first shower head we picked out (okay, Laura picked out), had a valve that fit!
@@TaleOfTwoSmittys That is awesome! Thank you for letting us know, we made ours out of 2 by 3s as well so we have been looking for a while! Could you tell us which you choose so we can no one that fits lol? Thank you again!
I promise it gets better 😭 I had a lot of trouble early on because I was editing on my phone and just wasn’t aware of the sound issue for awhile. Hang in there with us.

You can do it!
Wayne is a good worker!!! Go Wayne.
He’s the best! He said Green has to represent in this Texas build! 💪🏻 Thanks for watching!
Bravo to the one auditing these videos - they are amazing!
Aww thank you!! 😎

We’ve had zero issues with the tile to this point. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the feedback, and I’ll fix that for the next video!
It's coming along really fast.
Thank you 🤙🏻 Appreciate the support!
Great progress! Nice pony shirt👍
Thanks! Pony up! 🐎⬆️
I’m from Dallas, too! I just bought a Skool is and will be driving it back from Ohio
That’s awesome!! How did you find your bus?
Thanks for the video; the mud shower pan is on my upcoming list of projects! Cool idea to kerf the 2x4 to match the ceiling arc. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! Appreciate the comment 🤙🏻
Man, that is a big shower! Looks amazing, guys! Cheers!

We used pine shiplap on the outside facing the kitchen and desk and 1/4” luan paneling facing the bedroom.

How much would you charge to build a shower? I’m in Fort Worth texas
Hey what is the mixture you put on the ground and how did you adhere the rubber payment to it?

Probably not as much as it should have? I guess we’ll find out! 🙈
Cutting Durock with a box cutter stinks. Actually picked up a hand held circular saw which was life changing!
Yeah, I switched to a jigsaw for a while. It just stinks to cut altogether, I think 😂
Curious if you positioned the shower in a spot that would see minimal flexing in the bus floor? Really....the Stampeders? Go RedBlacks! 😁

Awesome video! Sorry the dad had to go! how did you choose your valve for your shower!

I think you should of used dura rock screws instead of nails
Thanks for the feedback. Appreciate you watching!
Why in the world was your dad hitting his golf ball so close to the cart path?
It’s easier that way!
Also, when are you coming down to golf?? (And work on the bus 😂)
Like the videos, but the music is terrible. Absolutely terrible. Words cannot express how bad it is.
I'll keep watching though.
I promise it gets better 😭 I had a lot of trouble early on because I was editing on my phone and just wasn’t aware of the sound issue for awhile. Hang in there with us.
