Balko des flos won`t have been far away in the Gold Cup. The way he travels in his races is very impressive. Let`s hope he stays sound and maintains his form and next year is allowed a crack at the Gold Cup.

Balko des flos is a brilliant horse and deserved to beat Un de Sceaux on the day but the way un de sceaux never stopped trying up the hill is the mark of a true champion.

Nothing wrong with Townsend ride here. If UDS decides he’s going to the front there’s nothing a jockey can do. Exact same happened last year with Ruby only last year he was lucky it was good ground. Was always going to struggle to stay 2m5f on this ground. Just you pocket talking Idiots backing him at odds on.
