Something about the quality of John's voice. I can't put my finger on it. It's almost like two people singing at once. I absolutely love it. Twist & Shout is my favorite John vocal. Sublime.
Modern groups should try to emulate the Beatles. -- creating great vocals that can easily be heard. Easily. Good writing, and lyrics very very clear. !!!! Even background vocals are fantastic !!! Easily heard.. instruments are in the background -- not loud !¡!!!!!!
@Jennifer_Wood You're so welcome. Recently, the song "Girl" came to mind, and I sang it like 100 times over a week. I do voice mimicry and can match John very close. (Same timbre, range and key)
@@Jennifer_Wood You're too kind, but you're right about my eye. I've been a professional illustrator/artist most of my life. So, how about that big moon tonight?
One song from them Beatles I've discovered when maybe I was 11 year-old. Every time I hear it brings me back to that particular time, and that was many years ago. 🙂
Thank you for your comment.💜 "Yesterday" is also a great song.🎵 Girl has great technique in this song. The backing chorus "tit, tit, tit" is also great. And there's an inhalation sound after singing Girl. From "Rubber Soul" onwards, John's way of portraying women has changed. Rubber Soul Girl is very highly rated. 💚Love it💛
John Lennon, você disse nessa música : " A alguém que ouvirá essa sua história ." . John, milhões de pessoas ainda ouvirão a sua história por muitos e muitos anos, com toda certeza .👍👍👍
This melody has a slight Russian flavor. In singing the lyrics John has to use a forced delay in the beginning so as not to easily get ahead, then later it takes a little vocal gymnastics to fit in the wordy phrases that don't roll out naturally. All together it's a memorable catchy tune befitting of the Rubber Soul masterwork.
Lennon was being a wee bit sardonic here methinks. It is not a song about love, Lennon was on the turn creatively. I think he'd had enough of churning out what were good but ultimately ditty little love songs to get teenage girls in a tizzy with. Rubber Soul marked a transition in the Beatles' song-writing. It was a portent of what was to come - some of the greatest popular music of the second half of the 20th century.
“Ditty Love Songs” Misery (1963) Not A Second Time (1963) You Can’t Do That (1964) I’ll Cry Instead (1964) I’m A Loser (1964) No Reply (1964) Ticket To Ride (1965) You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away (1965) You’re Going To Lose That Girl (1965) Norwegian Wood (1965) Girl (1965) Run For Your Life (1965) It’s pretty obvious that John Lennon was a very jealous and abusive boyfriend and he wrote songs about it. He says it himself in Getting Better (1967) and Jealous Guy (1971).
It was amusing to see if we could get a naughty word on the record, 'fish and finger pie', 'prick teaser', 'tit tit tit tit'. The Beach Boys had a song out where they'd done 'la la la la' and we loved the innocence of that and wanted to copy it but not use the same phrase. So we were looking around for another phrase - 'dit dit dit dit,' which we decided to change it in our waggishness to 'tit tit tit tit.' And it gave us a laugh. It was good to get some light relief in the middle of this real big career that we were forging. If we could put in something that was a little bit subversive then we would. George Martin would say, 'Was that "dit-dit" or "tit-tit" you were singing?' 'Oh! "dit-dit" George, but it does sound a bit like that, doesn't it?' Then we'd get in the car and break down laughing. So I credit that as being towards John but I put quite a bit in. It wasn't one that he came in with fully finished at all.

Os Beatles, a maior banda de música do mundo de todos os tempos. Vocês concordam ? Em : 25.11.2024 .

An awesome time for people to delve into the hippie lifestyle and listen to the Beatles. ✌️☮️
My parents were hippies too, so I have fond many memories of the 60s and 70s. my parents feel nostalgic.

More dramatic and deeper than Yesterday. I don't know why they don't give it the same importance that Yesterday is given.
