Thanks for the messages and support guys! I'm glad I've made your long journeys and shifts go smoother, and I will be working hard to make sure more videos like this will come!
I'd love it if they found some ancient piece of future technology, tried to repair it, turned it into another music playing Golem, and it's been running round the world every since playing "Oh shit I'm feeling it" on loop.
@@kiritotheabridgedgod4178 Imagine if it played Rick Astley and the world gets Rick Rolled or perhaps Billy Ocean's Loverboy. So many tunes would make for hilarity. Maybe Staying Alive by The Bee Gees?
Felt like this should be a decade-long multi part d&d game. You can feel that this is the fragmented story from a character of a very long game... honestly gives me an elementary to collage vibe.
I know this is as far as the author has gone thus far, but dang if that wasn't actually structured like an Isekai novel (cliff hanger endings, multiple story arks, etc). Probably best it ends where it did (optimistic?). Thanks to the author. Thanks to the narrator.
An Isekai written by a Westerner with Western cultural references. This is the first non-Asian isekai I've read, and honestly, I'm surprised at how much I liked it. Most importantly, it was just refreshingly good to read an isekai that did Not reuse the same worn-out themes and tropes. Average isekai: Guy is transported to a new world, he becomes the most powerful person in that world, he has a harem including the most beautiful girl in that world (which is usually a princess or some very high status woman), he some how becomes rich and loved by everyone. Everything comes easy to him, so he barely struggles. This story had none of that!
I could easily see a westerner getting isekaied and starting an industrial revolution along with new firearms, steam is surprisingly simple as are single shot firearms. Really just basic modern scientific understanding would give you the ability to make some very dangerous and revolutionary items, plus magic can be incorporated for additional simplicity or effects.
This is what another world would truly be like. Pain and suffering with you most likely being dead. Much like the rest of human history, these were the ones who had the right conditions to be able to move forward and change the world. Remember the mountains of bodies we human used to stand tall, and be ready to join them
the ending was a sort of a sweet ending with a tang of bitterness. overall didnt mind it, kinda curious as to when they met back up and if he figured out the whole body issue
I mean he can prety much do everything he could do with his body with the ghost one so i dont see a big reason for him to get one. altho if they did it would probrably either be a robot sort of thing or, a magic golem. If i had to assume
Finally finished this behemoth of a video. Acually kind of sad it did end. Really great story and narrating. I would take a guess and say I wouldn't have survived that ordeal.

Good story... might have sacrificed a lab report and a chapter quiz to finish it, but I am satisfied. Thank you for sharing it. I hope you share where you read this story.
The biggest mistake they made in my opinion is not taking the spices available at every modern household. Sugar was treated as expensive medicine, salt is used to preserve food and pepper is worth it's weight in gold. Anything pretty looking can also be sold easily like a cup with designs.

I'm not even sure if it's malicious: the gods are absolutely doing that out of self-interest but somebody made them that way in the first place and the effect is that they are locking everyone into a sweet spot where they can spread on an interplanetary scale, live sustainably, and produce a comfortable safety envelope for pockets of civilization against anything short of a planet killing disaster but can _not_ effectively wage war between any of those planetary civilizations. everyone is at a slightly mixed tech level ranging from medieval up to pre-industrial tech with some innocuous stuff like manufacturing dies and pigments being full-on modern or better and with magic adding a lot of utility and stability to enable and support societies (for a good example an orphan on the streets in most areas has easier access to FAR better healthcare than you do) and they have all been at roughly this state since before the dawn of recorded history: the key point is that that recorded history is about 140000 years and counting and the civilization that shares it spans hundreds of planets across multiple universes. ^everything before ~60k back is pretty fuzzy for everyone but the aboleths and those things are the closest thing the setting has to a universal adversary so they ain't tellin' nobody nothin'. case in point the start of recorded history is the tail end of a massive war against them...assuming you believe the faction that profited the most from it and ended up with a stranglehold on every civilization and most individual people...

I bet the town at the start “rosenbridge” is a reference to the Einstein-Rosen bridge, which is a wormhole.
It's heavily hinted that it was founded by some Terrans long ago, so it is probably an in world reference to it, and not just for us readers.
