This is true. It does such good damage anyway that you just gotta focus on getting the most powerful charge attack to hit.
All About that positioning n timing, also helps to know the monsters move set etc.
This is why i play crit draw frostcraft. It's so difficult to land TCS on monsters unless they are immobile.

But in the end my two favourite weapons Will always be *GREAT SWORD* 2nd hammer.
Greatsword is a bit of an interesting weapon. when going for the charge strike, if you hold the button down until it automatically performs the attack, it actually does less damage. you want to release the charge when your hunter flashes red to do the most damage.

@@pickless8350 If you overcharge your blade, it will indeed do less damage. You have to time the release to exactly when the character flashes on the third charge or else it will greatly reduce the amount of damage it does.

The movies absolute dogs shit don’t waste your time or money on it.
Movie is terrible. It's like 3 cuts in one punch. Just the CGI is great. And also, you get the movie quest in the game and you get Mila Jovovich's armor set and layered.

Thats why crit draw frost craft exists. I prefer to play this because it is so much easier to land your hits. Also tackling through attacks gives you openings if you get lucky with where they position afterwards.

And this is why I always use gear with Stun Resistance, Earplugs, & Flinch Free.

Zanny- some tips with the greatsword! Whenever your hunter flexes during a charge animation, release it so it can confirm a lv3 Charge attack, avoid overcharging it, also whenever the hunter glows red- it counts as a charge animation, just a tip :D love ur vids

Also when charging your attack, on the last charge, hold it a bit longer to do way more damage on your true strike
Also use shoulder tackle while charging to block. This will break monsters attacks instead of yours and you can keep up the charge
Don’t tell him to hold it more, he’s already overcharging it, hurts to watch :(

Great Sword tip: While charging, you can push B to tackle. Tackling allows you to take less damage from attacks, skip a slash in your charge slash combo, and ignore knockback from attacks and roars.

Pro tip: You dont have to stand still to get rid of the bleeding, you just have to stand still to enter the crouch mode. You can still move to try and dodge after that.

@@june1884 No you dont, it goes a little bit faster if you do, but i always move around while crouching. I even just tested this. It might not be as fast as standing still, but its a hell of a lot safer.
fun fact, this tip also works for anything else that counts as crouching, Ie: sharpening, carving, and MAYBE some gathering. haven't tested the gathering out, but i was able to cure bleed from a narg while carving a paolumu
