This reasonates with me, as I live in a city/state currently that has a culture I just don’t mesh with. The people are nice but only surface level nice, as they view relationships as transactional (what can you do for them?)and it’s been tough living here without deep emotional connections. The locals are very insular and sheltered, so they do not welcome transplants unless you fit into their mold of who belongs in the clique/crowd. A lot of group think and backward, narrow viewpoints about everywhere outside of their little world. It can be exhausting. My husband feels the same way so we have near future plans to sell our house and get out of here. So this feels like me accepting the situation as it is and not wanting to waste any more of my energy trying to connect with the people and a place that is just not my people, not my place, ya know?

Today I learned that there are twins in the Sun card- as a Leo sun and Aquarius rising I always related to the Sun and Star cards- but found this particularly meaningful as I am also a twin. I've been living here for 1 year, and they raised my rent $100., beyond what I can afford. Me and the cats are moving to a much smaller place. Now, my rent will be $325. including everything but electricity. There is room for a garden. My mind is focused on the present and the future. My landlady lives close by, and she speaks English! I'm planting my avocado and lemon tree in the ground there. It's going to take a bit to get situated as it's very rustic. At least I'll have hot water. I have some anxiety that will settle once i figure out new transportation routines. Lack of transportation is something that has hindered me from getting out there.
