Thank you for the video -guide about Kaunas. I am Ukrainian and moved to Lithuania after Chernobil. Lithuania is a beautiful country with beautiful people. Now I am living in Druskininkai. Thank you for mentioning Churlonis museum here. I am planning to be in Kaunas at Christmas with my French friend. Looking forward to proudly showing him Kasusas.
@Nastro Adhesivo thank you for your thoughts but you're wrong. Your ignorance is well appreciated, not everyone is a scavenger. I saw a good content and I appreciated it. You are very sick, may God heal your soul.
I began living in Lithuania after working for our US Embassy. Fell in love with a Lithuanian and now I call it 🇱🇹 home. Safe, has many organic features, family orientated and affordable living in EU. Best kept secret.
I am very grateful for your video. Kaunas is very impressive city with medieval history, architecture and very amazing parks and green zones. I should like to come back to Kaunas once again.
Labas Justina, I discovered your channel a week ago and I've just fallen in love with your videos as well as Lithuania. Hoping to meet you soon 😁. I'm studying Sports Coaching at LSU and I have already completed my 1st year online. I'll be coming to Lithuania in September if things(Coronavirus) get better. Till then keep making the videos, take care. Ačiū 🇮🇳❤🇱🇹
I spent 4 nights at the Kaunas Hotel in 2022 whilst my husband was having surgery. I visited a few of the places you mentioned. What an absolutely beautiful city, thank you for the tour.
Very interesting and informative video, thank you. I'm thinking of going to the Baltic States in September. I was thinking of going to Kaunas as a day trip from Vilnius but after watching your video, I think I'll have to stay there rin Kaunas for a couple of nights.
My partner and I usually always fly into Vilnius - this year, we will be flying in and out of Kaunas so that we can enjoy a couple of days in this wonderful city before spending a week in Vilnius 🥰 Thank you so much for these wonderful videos x
All is exceptionally clean and bright. I like the diversity of options and the open feeling. The intimacy of the well proportioned shops , houses is attractive year round . The icecube cold blue church illumination is what I want to see. The long rectilinear boulevard with these shady trees looks unique to me. I really hope to make it once to Kaunas from Nederland. I would probably stay 3 days or so ........😊
Thank you for this beautiful and informative video. I am from the US and of Lithuanian heritage. I've been trying to learn more about where I came from and I am aware that Kaunas was for a time the Capital of LT, when the Polish occupied Vilnius. Anyway, I hope to be in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda and Saiuliai in mid-August. Thanks so much for your video, you've given me some great ideas for places to visit in Kaunas! You are obviously very proud of your home town, as you should be! Looks like a very beautiful place with a very rich history. Labai, Gerai! Aciu!

Hello! Thank you for the video. Could you tell me somewhere to store our luggage for a day in Kaunas and how much it costs? Let's see if I can fit a visit to the city during my trip. Thanks!
I have a great-great grandfather who was born in Kaunas in 1883 and immigrated to the US in 1905. Is there any way to try to find out information or records about them at a place in Kaunas, if/when I am able to visit?
It's not easy. If you have at least some kind of information about him that could help, churches might have some records. There also are a few websites like genmetrika.eu that has lots of records online, but the website is in Lithuanian and most old records are in Russian language. Another, epaveldas.lt also have record copies, I've found 2 churches in Kaunas in that time frame that have birth records: Kauno Šv. Kryžiaus (Karmelitų) Romos katalikų bažnyčia and Kauno Švč. Trejybės (Seminarijos) Romos katalikų bažnyčia. I wish you good luck finding your roots!
Where can I find more info about Polish occupation of Litania, how You've named it in this video? We do not learn about that in school and the internet wasn't helpfull neither...
Poland never occupied all Lithuania, only the eastern part surrounding Vilnius during the years 1919-1939. You can look it up as Vilnius Region, or Wilno Voivodeship might help too.
i grew up in Kaunas,we was fighting between neighbourhoods,if you go from your area, you are target, fights, rapes, coruption, shooting, mind you it was in 19 ninetees,it changed a bit because of internet, kids sitting at home, not many gangs anymore

The smaller one Neris river flows into the bigger river Nemunas so after the confluence only Nemunas still flows down to the Curonian Lagoon.
