The shape of this new haircut changes his whole look. So much nicer to get that fringe off his forehead! Probably the most articulate young man you've ever featured.
Seems a genuinely likeable guy, you can tell there is a decent vibe between you both. Was nice to see you instantly knew what would suit him. As someone with pretty boring straight hair who has resorted to a buzz it was good to see an alternative. Wish I had 20years ago mind!

Been cutting my hair since before COVID weirdly enough. So funny him saying it’s therapeutic cutting your own hair cause I say that to my pals all the time😂 it also takes me sometimes almost 2 hours to perfect a fade and beard lol

First of all he did an amazing job himself secondly Dan I loved how you were able to minimize his bulk but yet leave him with volume and not going way too high but not leaving it way too low perfect job well done 👍 I often struggle at the crown area and I always fear that I'm going to take too much off the volume because with his hair type going up to high is going to take off a lot of hair and change the whole haircut and his cowlick that he has at the top going to short is going to make it difficult for him to style it so the way you executed this haircut well done. And the way you showed him how to style his hair perfect I would have said the same thing I often find the cow lick you have to work with the cowlicks in a circular motion! Well done! I'm definitely re-watching this video over and over I love how you cut the sides of his hair it fits perfectly to his hair type and hair shape!

12:15 Kinda same experience. I also have asian black straight hair. It became very clear barbers and hair stylist didn't know how to cut. They always went too high and short I assume to cut off my swirl or crown. So I learn to taper 1-3" guard let my length grow now hope someone knows how to use their clippers lol
Tip for the editor: set a mono audio filter on the audio. You then don't have issues with audio panning

Hi Dan, I've been watching you work for several months and enjoy seeing you transform "mop jobs" into the most flattering styles to best suit your customers' hair and face. I didn't know you've been to the States, but I was stunned to hear you've been to Montauk! I lived in Sag Harbor on Long Island Sound, which isn't far from Montauk.
