I'm sure Rockstar kept this technology on the shelves somewhere and are working on it and do more in depth R & D on it to further improve upon it. He was hoping that the slow pace of communication and searching (no internet, no search engines) would mean that he would have been released before the LAPD found out. This guy is so hammy and full of shit. I love how calm he seems for most of these interrogations. It makes it all the more hilarious when he finally snaps.
Grosvenor McCaffrey would be a broken pedestal if they actually knew him: he was a smug, cruel and arrogant man, plus he never been in combat because he beat a woman to near death in Syracuse after she tried to steal from his wallet. The robbery on itself was not the thing that made him angry(it did but on a secondary level) but that she tried to outsmart him. Grosvenor is not as smart as he thinks he is, choosing communism because it made him feel superior to everyone else, not because of conviction. He is just a small and insecure manchild with delusions of grandeur at heart.
One minute he was calm and collective and charming but as soon as Cole called him out for his criminal record, McCaffrey showed his true colours and confessed what he did.
Even if he didn't actually do it and it was The Werewolf, the sudden angry outburst followed by "she got what it was coming to her" made me go like: "yep, he's the one"

In my game, I cannot ask McCaffery about the lug wrench; I found it, and it was added to evidence, but the question does not pop up for me, which also means I cannot get his accusation against Tiernan, and therefore cannot get a perfect interrogation against him. :|

It was a pain to get this one. The game intentionally confuses you. If mccaffrey did it then it doesnt makes sense for him to leave the evidence there so obvious. No one would be so bold as to try and set up the other guy by incriminating themselves like that. And even if they did they would at least look nervous in some way. He shook the entire thing off like he was 100% innocent, and the game plays dramatic music that all but convinces you to charge tiernan. I reccomend using a walkthrough for this game. They made it b.s. so you would have a reason to play it a second time.
