- Otaru Aquarium is located just over an hour by train and bus from Sapporo Station.
It was a wonderful place with a very pleasant breeze!
From the tank where the ringed seals live, they can enjoy seeing the clear sky, the rough sea, and the snow in winter.

Thank you for showing us the future home of Mizore.
But I think the place is so small compare with 海遊館😢. I had go there once before, Otaru Aquarium keeper seem do not have too much interactive with the ringed seal. RuRu and ピセ are obviously having stereotypic behavior, it is not very health, I am so worry about Mizore😢

i’m worried about mizore…. i trust kaiyukan but last time they transported a ringed seal to otaru he died… 😥 also they have had a hand full of seal deaths… i believe a sea lion died in a breeding enclosure from drowning…. im also worried about breeding mizore, who was born with hypothermia to reproduce.. im sure otaru aquarium is a wonderful place but i have concerns…. 😅 i’m curious, are people in japan worried about mizore breeding? thank you for the video😊

Thank you for the tour!! It's nice to know Mizore will be in good hands, even if he's far from home. Lovely to see the other seals here too!! They look very active.
I'm so worried about Mizore. I'm very scared for him. I don't want him to move. Pise and Lulu are very adorable, but I do not think Mizore should be moved from Kaiyukan. It's not fair and he will probably have separation anxiety. I wish they would not do this.
Is it an off season to go to Hokkaido, or are there never many visitors at once due to geographical location in a small port town? It seems nobody is there.
I think the reason there were so few people there was because it was right after the aquarium opened. Most visitors would first enter the main aquarium building, then go to the dolphin pool, and finally go down the outside slope to see the seals. Therefore, after a while, many visitors came to see the seals.
So cool! Thanks for showing us Mizore's future home.

On the official page of Otaru Aquarium, it was introduced that the origin of the name of ringed seal is Ainu. I think that if the Ainu words were written in English, they would be "pise" and "ruru".

I'm sad that Mizore will leave Arare and Yuki, but this habitat is definitely better for him (or any other seal). I just hope we see Mizore videos as often as in Kaiyukan.
