LGA doesn't belong on this list anymore. The new terminals B and C are absolutely gorgeous with awesome dining options, while the increased taxi space reduces delays significantly. It's a top shelf airport now with the old terminals demolished.
Three out of four flights being cancelled at EWR? That does not sound right, delayed maybe? Newark is my go-to airport when flying to NYC because the other two are worse.
I've never had a cancelled flight out of Newark. Delays, yes. Maybe out of the near 15 times I've flown in and out of it there's been 3 delays and one over 10 minutes
You didn't do your research on DFW very well. Dallas and Fort Worth both have direct light rail service and commuter rail service into the airport. The one way cost into the airport is $2.50.
Eppley: delays SFO: slow tsa DFW: too big Orlando: spread out and rude tsa O’Hare: delays Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood: slow tsa and baggage claim LAX: crowded Newark: delays Kennedy: confusing layout LaGuardia: the place used to be a dump before the new terminal was built
So in other words this video was done based on opinion instead of facts supporting which airports actually suck in the US. At least of this list are constantly ranked at the top for customer satisfaction and efficiency
@@somethingrandom4979I’m from DFW and growing up I just thought other airports were small lol. But ya the massive hwy in the middle makes and the Skytrain makes it so easy to get around or in/out of DFW. Meanwhile now I’m stuck w/ LAX, where traffic in/out is hell. Plus the insanity of having to check your bag at the terminal your airline’s at, and then having to walk back outside to get to the actual terminal you’re flying out of 1/2 a mile away 💀.
If you want slow baggage claim fly into Midland TX. The plane is LITERALLY on the other side of the wall from where your bags come in -- and you STILL wait 20 minutes.
I have been to DFW a couple of times, and although it is a large airport, the Skylink is very helpful in getting to your gate. However, this last time I was annoyed because I took the Skylink to my gate,or what I thought was my gate. It only took me to the area where my gate was located. I had to go up and down like three different escalators and a staircase to finally get to my gate.
About Newark Airport, their TSA is annoying as hell, the cancellations is not a lie and I was delayed 5 hours once thanks to a thunderstorm. The Uber is not a lie either but add roughly $20 if you're going to Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens and $35 for Staten Island! No lie. I live by Newark Airport. Anyways, to get there are the AirTrain from EWR Train Station, NJT bus 37, 62, 67, 107 (late night) GO28. Coach USA 100 Express to Grand Central, Trans-Bridge. Hold up... I had no issues at MCO (Orlando), ORD (O'Hare) nor LGA (LaGuardia). Speaking of LaGuardia Airport, to get there, M60 (from Manhattan) Q47-Q48, Q70 and Q72. LaGuardia is freaking awesome! At least cancellations are Way less than Newark Airport and JFK combined. There's awesome shops nearby in the airport too.
Kansas City had one of the worst airports. It was built about 50 years year just before all of the security concerns. Consequently, big barriers had to put up between secure and non-secure areas so there were narrow hallways, not enough seating or restrooms. Kansas City just opened their new airport terminal which cost about 1.8 billion dollars. I think Kansas City now has one of the nicest, cleanest, brightest airports in the nation. It was one of the top ten worst, now its one of the top ten best in the country.
I’m a Bay Area resident. TSA at SFO is actually quite well run, particularly if you have TSA Pre-Check. TSA gave SFO permission to have outside contractors performing the service, and they are a damn sight better than government workers. My gripes about SFO are the delays from fog and, at least on the international side, the lounges are terrible, except for United Polaris. We often fly to Asia and the lounges at SFO (and pretty much any other US airport) always look like repurposed conference rooms. One other thing is luggage carts. Other than in international arrivals, you have to pay for a cart. Have NEVER seen that in Asia.
I've been to all of these airports many times except Omaha and Hollywood, FL. LAX is the worst with Newark being the second worst. The lack of public transit in LA makes LAX an absolute sh*t show. Laguardia, other than the fact that there is no train that runs to the airport, is actually really nice now (though it was definitely horrendous before).
I missed my flight in Omaha, because the TSA was a gaggle. Never been through San Francisco Airport. I've been through just about every major Florida airport. In Orlando, they change the gate at the last minute. That was a mess.
Somehow Omaha made it on the list, but what about MCI in kansas city??? Basically the same thing, but you have to go through security before getting to any of the good dining options (assuming they're open).
No all the dining options were BEFORE security. And there were very FEW dining options. MCI just opened their new terminal a few weeks ago though. The old terminals will be torn down.
As a flight attendant I can definately rate airports better than this list. Any "worst" list that excludes ATL and MIA, with their miles-long walks, or DEN which should be renamed the Kansas/Colorado/Nebraska regional airport loses credibility from the outset. And lucky me, I've been able to avoid the new SLC with it's already infamous walking distance. This vid was a waste of time.
Because it's nowhere remotely close to the city. The list of airports that are farther from their city is short. The rudest TSA agents that I ever encountered was in Fort Meyers (RSW). In addition, the TSA agents in Myrtle Beach (MYR) weren’t all that pleasant either.
SFO is not in San Francisco. It’s in San Mateo county. Also, they stopped selling water in plastic bottles a few years ago so not sure where your Walmart price comparison came from.
ORD is the worst that I have been on. I avoid it at all costs when flying home from Los Angeles. The walks, crowdedness and delays are terrible. I prefer going through Dallas any day.
I live in Orlando. And don’t be fooled by the image of good weather. Winters are gorgeous and mild. But summers start about mid April and end around November 1st . And every day during the summer Orlando gets huge thunderstorms and lightning in the afternoons and evenings. This causes delays because the ground crew can’t be outside during lightning strikes. So expect delays when flying in and out of MCO during summer afternoon and evening.
Dallas Fort Worth Airport is one of the best airports actually they have great service in the TSA is easy and I actually use the airport to go to Utah so I think it should be on this list or Dallas Love Fild But I think you should put San Diego international for that they do strict searches
Coming home from the Bahamas, I remember having a 2 1/2 hour in delay at DFW. It’s was due to weather, so it wasn’t the airline’s fault, but it was EXTREMELY tiring. I’ve NEVER been through Dallas Love Field, but I would assume that it wouldn’t be as bad as DFW. I do know that Love Field is where Southwest is based.
i highly disagree dallas is such a headache and especially during the summer when its 100 degrees and you have to sit on the tarmac waiting for a gate to open up when you land
There are 3 rail options into DFW. The DART Orange Line which takes you into downtown Dallas, and then up to the fast grow in Collin county, the Tex Rail line, which goes from downtown Fort Worth to the airport and the TRE line which connects downtown Dallas, and Fort Worth with a stop near the airport. I’m usually loathe to come down on content creators but seriously some basic research would’ve solve this issue.
I disagree with SFO. The last time I was there, the staff were really efficient with TSA and immigration. They got me through everything in around 30 minutes on a relatively busy night. Though I was starting to get slightly annoyed by the amount of time spent on the tarmac (around 15 minutes of waiting in one spot per plane), it doesn't affect my opinion much on SFO now.
SF International was kind of ok when I had a connection from San Antonio to LA but I also didn't have to leave the airport or stick around longer than an hour so idk. MCO in Orlando really need better signage. It's frustrating as hell. That Airport is also the reason I got TSA Precheck because, yes, the lines are horrific. O'Hare is awesome. No issues outside of the winter storm in 2022 in December. I flew out of LaGuardia to Dulles, flight got cancelled. I left the next day hit O'Hare and got another delay and that was not a fun time. So many people got stuck in O'Hare. I was able to rent a car and get a hotel and I felt so bad for people who couldn't especially the ones with children like holy hell and yes, LaGruadia is really just that terrible. JFK wasn't nearly as bad.
I haven't had any bad experience about DFW nor LAX yet, but had the worst experience in my life at IND when I had one cancellation and two delays just to get me to LAX, wasting me a lot of time and money.
I have a love/hate relationship with DFW. I have cancelled vacations just to avoid flying out of there. At the height of summer, it is a NIGHTMARE with delays and cancellations. Also, the large number of runways adds to the traffic problems: it can take your plane a long long time to taxi back to the gates if the tower forces them to land far from the terminal. There are so many runways that two bridges go directly over the highway like in Amsterdam-Schiphol! I once sat in a plane, baking in the 100-degree heat for an hour and then the flight got cancelled. The crew couldn't start up the engines! It was long, long run back to the ticket counter to get rebooked and then I had to come back the next day and repeat the process all over again.
Once when I flew through LAX there was a sudden power outage which means all the scanners stopped working right when I was waiting to pass through TSA and had to wait like an extra 15 minutes just standing there. I fly through LAX a lot and in general it’s not the best, and imo the airport has been deteriorating over the years. Personally I would definitely rank ORD and SFO above LAX
Fort Lauderdale is so bad lol. It’s easy when you leave because TSA isn’t horrible and the terminals are renovated but, coming back, It sucks. I once waited 1hr for my bag and if you come internationally through terminal 4… expect 3 hr delays in customs
Frequent flyer out of EWR. So glad to see my hometown airport on the worst airports list and have all of my grievances, down to the shitty food (especially at Terminal C) be recognized.
I'd disagree with FLL. I've always found it better than Miami (which is far away), my only gripe with it is the slow moving LAX style horeshoe, but it's not LAX bad.
Worst airport in the country has to be Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta. It is run like a Third World cash cow, which it probably is. Seems like the local politicians go out of the way to glorify themselves in various infomercials posted throughout the facility. Rude staff (with some exceptions) poor layout and way too big for the level of chaos it creates. Don't bother renting a car either, it's all long lines and no order. Avoid at all costs.
He is right about the parking at DFW airport there is a toll booth on each side North and South entrances of the airport if you are there too long parking does go up but if you're only there for a couple hours or so it's very cheap I work there so I get to go to the employee lot which is only free if I have the sticker in my window or I get towed they don't play delays or not a issue and he said the place is disorganized no before I work there I flew there and I don't find it disorganized at all although this place he is right it is very easy to get lost and it is 20 plus miles from before work or Dallas even I live between Fort Worth and Arlington and it is still 22 miles to get there.
SFO is not so bad. Oakland can be worse given it's proximity to landfills. Vegas can be worse because the plane can take 15 minutes just getting from the terminal to the runway.
@@TravelingCloud Ohare you wait because of traffic. Vegas is about the distance like you start to wonder if the plane is driving to LA just to take off :)
The most common thing I hate about US airports. Is the fact for year now. They’re all smoke free environments. You go to Tokyo or Seouls airport. Theirs smoking sections in every terminal. I understand smoking on the plane can be very hazardous. But in the terminals? Come on. US airports, take notes from Asia.
SFO shouldn't be on this list, at least now. The stories you hear about the city are precisely the opposite when looking at the airport. They have free water fountains, and while everything is expensive, it's San Francisco where everything is expensive. Security is also a lot better, and thanks to the BART system, the most you will have to pay for going between the airport and the City (not the Town) is $10 as of writing.
Best airport in the country has to go to Medford, Oregon. A small, insignificant facility (sorry, but true), but the staff goes out of their way to be civilised (unlike ATL, JFK, SFO, etc.. -- run by one-Party kleptocracies), and you go from street to gate in 15 minutes. Well done, Medford!
I can put up with a very simple airport even if it has delays so it wouldn't bother me much. It's funny that your next choice was SFO, which is a total 180. It is too big, too complicated and too crowded. I can't stand that place and it needs to have the domestic terminals redesigned so badly... My home airport is DFW and I expected it to be on the list. Getting to the airport is a hassle. If you miss your entry ramp to the terminal, you have to take a back road that goes all around the terminal and backtrack a loooooong way then wash, rinse, repeat. It can be a nightmare. Also, because it's so spread out, there's no way to know if you will have an average, good or bad day. You might get the normal TSA line. But then a month later, the same line is run by drunk fools. And some airline counters like American and United are backed up because they don't staff very many of them. The one thing that really irritates me is the looong run to the gates. You will live like Kevin from "Home Alone": running as fast as you can to your gate, which feels like it's in the next city. Another problem for me is that it's considered a "crossing point" for many airlines. If someone wants to fly from one side of the country to the other, there is a very high chance it could make a stop at DFW, just adding to the traffic congestion. I also sometimes have bad luck: I wind up on a flight that has to taxi so far away that I tell my relatives that you take TWO trips at DFW. The first trip is from the gate to the runway. The second trip is your actual flight! The only saving grace is at least they have plenty of very good dining options when you're stuck there...
I have been to all of these except Newark... And I can safely say.....none are nowhere near as pathetic as Cleveland Hopkins International. It looks like a 1950s bys station.
I thought that JFK and LaGuardia were located within NY City? Wikipedia says they are both located in Queens, which is a part of NY City. 9:35 You say that JFK is "in busy New York" then you say that it is "30 minutes away". Not making much sense, IMHO.
@@TravelingCloud I liked your video, in any case. I live in Michigan and use the well-reputed Detroit Metropolitan airport once in a while. But I will try to stay away from NY City!
Oh Yeah orlando is the worst airport to me Due to the TSA agent not giving a care in the world and we were about to be late and to make matters worse we went to the Delta terminal instead if the Southwest Airlines terminal.
Anyone shocked to see O’Hare on a shit list has spent too little time there, or has only flown domestic. International connections are a marathon race.
Are you just regurgitating secondhand information you found somewhere else? If you’re gonna do videos like this go to the places and report on your own experiences! I’ve been through MCO several times in the last decade and it was always fast and flawless. ORD is a mess, LAX is the mess that eats other messes. EWR is dumpy, but 3/4 flights canceled? That’s ridiculous!! Nobody calls FLL “Hollywood International Airport.” And you didn’t even mention ATL?! You obviously just thought it would be cool to make a video on a subject you know nothing about after some minimal research. Lazy.

Philadelphia International isn't on your list? 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, I've flown INTO LAX, SFO, and DFW and agree that these airports -- which I've flown into from PHL (my Home Airport) as connecting airports are really TERRIBLE. I would’ve thrown Houston’s Bush International. It’s congested a lot people driving carts almost run you over.
The only bad thing abt IAH is the traffic other than that its a pretty decent airport
Tsa in Orlando is quick but the agents suck
Cleveland mirrors its city. Old and dismal. Reminds me of LGA in the late 70’s…….
Fort Lauderdale is so bad lol. It’s easy when you leave because TSA isn’t horrible and the terminals are renovated but, coming back, It sucks. I once waited 1hr for my bag and if you come internationally through terminal 4… expect 3 hr delays in customs
O'Hare I knew be on this list but I didn't expect Orlando international airport that was interesting.
Atlanta Airport is one along with Eppley Airport in Omaha. They have only one eatery and one restroom.
I will tell you, Atlanta (ATL) is NO fun to be delayed in.
Frequent flyer out of EWR. So glad to see my hometown airport on the worst airports list and have all of my grievances, down to the shitty food (especially at Terminal C) be recognized.
I will be flying out of omaha eppley airfield this September
I won't take any list serious that doesn't have Denver.
If your flying into Orlando never fly into MCO either Sanford or Tampa will be your best bet.
A video on the worst airports in the USA is not complete until you put LaGuardia at number one.
You automatically lost me since the City of Dallas does not touch DFW airport.
Newark has a direct train from NY penn station to the airport unlike JFK Or LGA
I wasn't at all shocked by #6
SFO is not so bad.
I consider that to be a good thing, but if you want smoking areas in a U.S. airport, Las Vegas has them.
What the hell is wrong with Orlando International Airport?
Best airport in the country has to go to Medford, Oregon. A small, insignificant facility (sorry, but true), but the staff goes out of their way to be civilised (unlike ATL, JFK, SFO, etc.. -- run by one-Party kleptocracies), and you go from street to gate in 15 minutes. Well done, Medford!
I haven’t been to every airport in US but let me tell you Newark is pretty bad. The place is a maze and delays are inevitable 😂 IYKYK
Update: Epply is under a much needed renovation (2024). As to the rest of your evaluation? Meh.
International connections are a marathon race.
sanfrancisco and dallas and orlando and jfk and larguardia arent bad at all there good airports
Lazy.
👠 a couple of these were spot on, but the majority of these complaints, were just "silly". People need to stop whining, and be more thankful ! Chill out and just "take the bitter with the sweet" - enjoy life damnit!😊
Uh - San Francisco International Airport is located south of SF in San Mateo County - it isn’t actually located in San Francisco.
ORD is bad but nothing is worse than JFK. Even LAX isn't nearly as bad as JFK.
The worst is Cumberland MD airport where a female employee named was gang raped by 8 between age of 14 and 25 2 r dead now it happened in 1961 and was covered up by local Cumberland newspaper only mentioned once mixed in with estate sales on day of lowest no of.papers in week simply said a rape occured at the airport y is continuing the local authorities want federal money for airport a serious crime does the truth hurt the lady lost her mind for 7 years her husband n bro lost their houses her dad lost a nice farm her son got emotional probs cause from age of 2 to 9 the only time he got to see his mom was in mental hospital
MIA rather than LGA. Wrong listing anyway.
MCO is my favorite. How dare you.
I absolutely hate LAX 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I agree with JFK in New York and Ft Lauderdale Hollywood in Florida pitiful airports unorganized and chaotic poorly managed.
You forgot dia
DFW is amazing lmao
O’Hare us great
Boy are you wrong 2019 LAX had 84 million
You put SFO on the list just because you stupidly paid $5 for a bottle of water? What happened to water fountains?
I would rather drink out of the sink in the restroom than pay $5 for a bottle or water.
I'm so disappointed with your list -- what??!! Philadelphia International isn't on your list? 🤣🤣🤣 But seriously, I've flown INTO LAX, SFO, and DFW and agree that these airports -- which I've flown into from PHL (my Home Airport) as connecting airports are really TERRIBLE. One caveat for me is that I have TSA Pre-Check, so I've NEVER had any issues with any of the Security check-ins. I've also flown into MCO (Orlando) and FLL many times and never had issues with these two airports either. But, when you say Hollywood Airport, aren't you referring to Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport????
Oh yeah witnesses were smeared and threatened WOW
How lax is better
8:31 I just got offended right now because first of all this is my favorite airport not literally so please even though this might be a hate comment. I’m not trying to hate, but yeah, I’m still offended.
You don't know what the hell you're talking about!
Two terrible airports. LAX and Denver
I liked DFW it wasn’t that bad
San Francisco is a good airport
Ikr
Lax I went to not bad lax airport is in la
DFW VERY GOOD
San Diego very bad
San Francisco is NOT in the city
Where is Austin? Worst airport in the USA.
You can't (or shouldn't) rate things like delays without providing any data. Try harder.
You’re right with SFO
TSA people are very rude here
Racist and disrespectful
Nahhhhhhhhhh they alr
Jesus loves you
Everything you said about LaGuardia is just false now lol, and idk how you can say that when you’re literally showing the new one in the video. Probably the best airport in the USA now but the new JFK will probably be even better
