Los Angeles’ Clean Streets Operations - Homeless Encampments

- Here we have yet another video of LA’s “Clean Streets” initiative. As many are aware, homelessness and encampments have increased severely in Los Angeles, and it isn’t getting any better. It’s come to the point where it seems like Skid Row is down the street. I’m telling y’all, LA is getting dirtier and dirtier. Luckily these crews are helping to sanitize and cleanup the items making this town a health hazard.
Some of the homeless people got angry and started pulling out their phones to make it seem like the Sanitation department stole their items, but that is not true at all. LA gives them a whole 1-2 weeks to take what they wanna keep and separate what they don’t, and these people are too lazy to even do that. Then they get mad once it’s time to collect the stuff. The stuff I saw at these cleanups was absolutely disgusting.
Anyways enjoy the video!
Don't forget to like, comment, share, and subscribe!
Thank you to the crews!

Have a great day :)
Thanks so much guys for clean the street ♡ we have the same problem in Long Beach! Tents in every single corner
So they take every last thing that a homeless person owns
The cops don't just show up with garbage trucks and start taking people's stuff. They get plenty of notice to gather their belongings and leave.
That's the homelessness problem fixed. ohwait...
Interesting how a simple garbage truck video becomes commentary on a social problem. ESD does very similar operations downtown, I haven't caught any footage of it though. That's crazy that the cops need to be there, did you explain to them why you were filming? I wouldn't want to seem like I was causing any trouble there. Cool vid definitely film more if it's safe out there.
Haha well it’s platforms like this one that should also bring awareness to the issue. It would be nice if you can get some of ESD’s cleanups, I really wanna see their methods. Oh I got there and the cops were cool with me because I had the city vest and gloves, even the workers vouched for me ;) Thanks!
Help people to get in a place and on their feet some of this is caused by covid and shut downs not all choose to live this way all the money the governors get and this is the anwser... . People lost of jobs never in history has America been in this horrible situation.....Gods watching everything that is going on and judgement day is coming for all..God bless our homeless..Heartbreaking!!!!!
13:05 the company safety manager must have been thrilled to see this.
These guys need to have PPE on.
I'm surprised they let the trash men touch that stuff with their hands. Watching that one operator flinging tarps over his head and touching the mattress just gave me the creeps thinking about the fleas, bed bugs, and whatever else may be lurking in that stuff possibly landing on him. That bin on the one RL was pretty clever, wonder why they weren't using it.
Oh yeah tell me about it, I hope they sanitized properly after the whole day. They take bins like those because they contain feces and other dirty items that the homeless have brought in. Thanks for commenting!
@C J Well on transient camp cleanups, everything is covered in shit so I am assuming this IS the special crew.
@No toilet paper, woke up thinking Sanders had won what cities are those? I live in San Francisco proper---and lemmie tell ya---its fucking gross
mans job
RIP to that garbage can😓
target and raplphs can FINALLY GET THEIR CARTS BACK LOL 😅🧐
3:44 they even stole a home depot cart!
Good job for cleaning up the mess. Gosh these homeless people litter everywhere!
Thanks!
Been meaning to check this video out - good timing posting this with the almost daily news reports about homelessness! It's crazy how nasty LA has gotten within the past few years, I just saw a news report over the weekend where they removed 12 tons of illegally dumped trash from a building in the Fashion District. The trucks they're using to clean this stuff up sure look good though. I'm pretty darn happy with their new truck purchases overall. The yellow bucket trucks are so sick!! I can't wait to see a video of one of those with the bucket being used :D Terrific video dude!
I’ve been watching those reports a lot lately! I would’ve loved to see that cleanup with the 12 tons, it was so crazy on the news. More cleanup videos on the way ;) Thanks Aaron!
You are right about the homeless situation it is starting to head east as well. Good video the trucks looked really nice since they are new and the crew knew how to get the stuff quickly. Really good video also very sad as it shows how much of an issue homelessness has become in the city. Be careful as well many some of those homeless have mental problems and won’t be afraid to attack you guys. Overall a really good video and stay safe.
Jakob Velasquez police also won’t be afraid to tase them...
Ain’t no doubt about that, it seems like the city is getting dirtier with all these random encampments. Thanks for looking out!
@@ct_refuse Or try to calm them down. Have a heart.
clean up is good, now what about the homeless guy standing there with the shirt on his back after loosing all his worldly possesions ?
Perhaps the bums should keep things tidy and minimalist so as not to lose all the things they'ed scavenged. They don't have a right to make a trash pile home next to people who labor greatly to actually pay for a home.
Richard Rodriguez How about the city fire station and sidewalks they’re blocking? These individuals are given a week’s notice to remove items they want to keep and throw away things they don’t. More than half of the items they claim to “own” are stolen, are hazardous, or a danger to the public. The homeless should at least keep their surroundings clean so operations like these aren’t needed every single day.
He stole most of those and he looks like he could get a job.
I liked that girl in the tyvek suit wearing sunglasses she was so damn hot
"SOYLENT GREEN IS PEOPLE!?...That's what this reminds me of... Watch the movie where they're plowing into the crowds of people with front end loaders and scooping them up...
Will they be going down to Skid Row to do the same thing !
L.A. Strongest!
Finest work crews 💪🏽
Rip random nb
Great job people................
It truly amazes me the stuff they amass
bmmm
1:34 why did they pack the cart?
also 17:06
I just love that 'Port-a-loo' on it's own little trailer, - literally a 'Port-a-loo.
18:38 port a john in tow i remember as an inmate cleaning roads. flash back
Do you guys still pass nowadays?
Cleanups are needed. But it's sad to see their tents and beds being thrown away. They will only go out and steal more of them from residents and businesses. Where are they supposed to go? They have to go somewhere. Good job making the video. Just wanted to add my opinion on the situation.
They need to go somewhere other than the city sidewalks. Seeing these animals I know now why Johnny Cash shot a man in Reno just to watch him die.
This has to be skid row?right?
Awesome very good video
Thanks man 👨💼
No problem dude
a bike
Should be wearing masks and hazmat suits................
this was taken a year ago…
I wonder if any of this gets sorted. I also wonder how much stores lose replacing shopping carts that have been packed. Great video, It would have been cool to see more of that yellow bucket in use though. I'm sure it's usefull- you can roll trash cans or carts right onto it and send em up haha. Great job. It is sad that a service like this is necessary but it appears LA is doing an excellent job.
Nah it’s all trash haha. I too was wondering why they did not bring the huge yellow buckets on the first cleanup. I wish the city was cleaner, but I also love the measures the city is taking to get to that goal! Thanks!
That was my thinking too. That shopping cart should be returned to the store, not tossed into the truck's compactor. Those are very expensive for the store to replace.
If I were the store owner I'd rather have that cart tossed in the garbage truck and crushed. No way I'd let any customers touch it after what it possibly came in contact with, so it would have to be thrown in the store's dumpster otherwise.
Thank God they clean up all that. Good for them
Yup
Great video!! Loved it!!!
Thanks!!
wow mattress😱😰😭😭😭
they should put some of the homeless in the back of the truck LOL
Why would you even say such a thing?
Ya the ones who caus problems we all know who they are
