Crimeline 11 01 2019

On October 24th, 2019 at 10:03 p.m., Newport News Police were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in the 1300 block of 24th Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound. She was identified as 47-year-old Janene Kellam of the 1300 block of 24th Street. Ms. Kellam was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers also located an adult male suffering from injuries. He was transported by medics to a local hospital for further treatment. There is no suspect information at this time and the investigation continues.
