Dang I didn’t even know he died that made me sad but im grateful for the music he left behind I remember the first time hearing this song it made me emotional May he Rest In Paradise ❤
That white man played the hell out that saxophone then put it down like that goodness didn't just take place. DAMN this song gets better every time I hear it!
The joy in his face, his artistry his sound will be remembered....I would wake and sleep to this song. May Casey Benjamin rest and rise in peace and power ✊🏾💐
The Metropole Orchestra is a fabulous outfit. Year after year they play with the cream of the crop of jazz and are sensational every time. How do they fit with Robert Glasper like hand and glove? But they do. A big hand for the musical arranger.
Imagine a drum and bass remix of this song. How amazing would it be and also the sax. Dafuq? How is my man acting like nothing magical just happened? Also can we please appreciate that keyboard melody .Wow. The whole song is a transcendental moment ✨ 🌟 ✨✨
I just got in tune with Robert Glasper about a year ago. I love the way his brilliant band collaborates with so many diverse musicians and vocalists and makes it all brand new!
I've had the pleasure of seeing The Robert Glasper Experience downtown Chicago before the pandemic and they DID NOT disappoint me at all. I didn't want to go home😂😂😂
Referring to the Strong section, it's impossible to play like this and not enjoy what you are playing. Impossible! It's a form that f self expression. Not an obligation or a choice. They are one Soul and it's evident
Hey man, you brothers and sisters in seeing that sax from the brother, you see the professional musicians of Europe & America making it - do-what-it -do !!!!
The sax was awesome...no doubt but can the volinist , flutest , and drummer get some praise too?.... LoL The Volinist were the absolute truth ! ....took you on a serious ride..... Almost spiritual....😏 Everyone did great....this is what excellence looks like...
I need an extended and remix version of this... all players... phenomenal. I'd also like to hear the vocals with and without the reverb. I want to know what he's saying... that joy is contagious
Recent RG convert. I have played this track so many times today that I'm in a differeng friggin' dimension now! Utterly sublime. From the expert use of the vocoder and the raspiness of the singer's voice (also love the big grin and those lovely big teeth!) to the absolute nonchalance of the saxophonist, who took us to another place with that solo, then sat down like "no big ting dudes, I do better than this every day before lunch!" All this combined with RG's excellence on the keyboard and the exquisite orchestral manoevres, I'm done! Gratitude in abundance RG and crew ❤🎉
Rest in peace King. May your music and melody and style and grace be remembered forever Casey Benjamin.
Dang I didn’t even know he died that made me sad but im grateful for the music he left behind I remember the first time hearing this song it made me emotional May he Rest In Paradise ❤

Rise in Power to the Great Casey Benjamin. Your legacy lives on and on and on…
RIP Casey🙏 The orchestra sounds incredible
Dude killed the sax solo and sat back down like he did nothing. The look on his face was like "💩,I have to do my taxes when I get home."
😂 Nailed it. His buddies were digging it way more than he did.
Another day at the office.
Got damn! 🥴
Lol. For real, Man.
What a comment! So true. He meant business. I love it.
RIP Brother Benjamin.
When you touched music, we felt you. Thank you Casey!
I just met a guy at a bar and we started talking music, he was like “you MUST listen to Robert Glasper”.
Excellent recommendation. 🎉
Amazing art , RIP Casey
I’m regretting that I didn’t know about this young man until now. Mr. Robert Glasper thank you for this video ❤❤❤
That white man played the hell out that saxophone then put it down like that goodness didn't just take place. DAMN this song gets better every time I hear it!
HahahhHH I thought I was the only one who said this till I seen ur comment 😂😂 😂
What a boss.
How the drummer keeps that pace I don't know. Actual real time drum and base👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
The joy in his face, his artistry his sound will be remembered....I would wake and sleep to this song. May Casey Benjamin rest and rise in peace and power ✊🏾💐
Casey..we miss you.., your music..your lovely voice.
The wonderful Casey Benjamin...may your spirt live on.......
That’s 1 bad ass orchestra playing with them!!!❤
Casey....😢😢❤❤❤
Anyone listening to 4:50 already know the sax guy was about to BLAZE. He was already mirroring runs in the background during Rob's solo. WHEWWWWW!
Agreed! Master of ceremonies! The M.C. moves the crowd. The M.C. is in control. Very classy rendition
His musical frequency will not be forgotten….RIP Casey Benjamin
_I am moved to tears_ - GORGEOUS!!

Same here. More than once.
I love it! This footage video deserves more positive reviews!!!

I dont know what to say taking music to heaven wow
That intro 🤩🔥🔥
Yeah .. ikr that's why I put it in there... prelude to love
I love this orchestration how the harmonies are being voiced through different orchestral sections - Bravo
This is probably the dopest thing I’ve ever seen in my life!!!! Period....
Mann, the whole damned concert is a *Masterpiece!*
@@JungleYT except for our man on the synthesiser .. wrecks it all sorry just my opinion.
It’s heaven
This is my favorite Glasper song...I just cried...SO BEAUTIFUL
Hope they were tears of joy ! Let the ride be something wonderful.
Unexpected, Unusual, Unique, Experimental, Exceptional and Magical music
YES that's why I share
RIP Casey one of the greatest

Excellent!
RIP Casey!!!
I don't know why I'm surprised Rob has worked with Metropole Orkestra, they only work with the best.💟 They are truly progressive.
The most awesome thing I've ever witnessed..
Greatness sound Robert Glasper!!! I wish Norah Jones did the vocals live or either on a background screen!!!
I love Norah Jones' version more because the vocals are natural and I love the snare drum in her version! Everyday I listen to it.! I love this song.
@@cynthiajones2764 I'm with you Cynthia!!! I wish Nora and Robert Glasper Experiment would perform this HIT song live one day!!
No way. This version of the vocals is SO much better imo. It kills me the recorded version isn’t like this!
@@cynthiajones2764 The drummer kills every last beat like a machine and the snare pops like a thunderclap.👍🏾
- Let's just get together and calmly play jazz.
Meanwhile saxophonist: not on my shift :D
Such a loss for musicians and fans of great music everywhere. I'm grateful for the inspiration Casey gave so generously.
You ever want something to never end, my goodness this felt good!!!
When Jazz meets Orchestra, & at the end all of the orchestra is smiling ...
...then we know the chemistry worked both ways.
Success

The original is pretty much a dnb tune > ua-cam.com/video/9ix8aOsMSDE/v-deo.html
idk what you call drum & bass but for me this right here its TRUE DnB
With all the permutation, this is more jungle than DnB
Leo Janssen on sax - pure magic
I love this arrangement
Hey ! It's pure class. Metropole Orkest.
Just discovered this. Aweseome!!
This was amazing.
I love that vocoder feel
I just got in tune with Robert Glasper about a year ago. I love the way his brilliant band collaborates with so many diverse musicians and vocalists and makes it all brand new!
This arrangement is everything I'd hoped it would be and so much more...
Thanks coach ! Spread your wisdom !
Beautiful
Beautiful ........high class.....
I loved the look on the other sax player's face! They may not be friends anymore.
What a performance!
The music is absolutely brilliant!!!❤❤❤❤
I've had the pleasure of seeing The Robert Glasper Experience downtown Chicago before the pandemic and they DID NOT disappoint me at all. I didn't want to go home😂😂😂
The Metropole Orkest is one of the greatest gifts to music. I hope to shake hands with you fine ladies and gentlemen before I die.
Oh my goodness, that intro!!!
I love that everyone playing looks like they are really enjoying the music ^_^
When you see that.. there must be something good !

I've gotten to the point that I believe Casey really sounds that way when he talks...AMAZING!!!
It takes a lot to sound like Casey... His skills are quite something
Hear you....love the vocoder! And appreciate the uniqueness it brings
Epic orchestra.... What a sound and what a great combination. Mind blowing!
Hey man, you brothers and sisters in seeing that sax from the brother, you see the professional musicians of Europe & America making it - do-what-it -do !!!!

All I can do is shake my head. 😏 Just blown away by this version. I’m biased because I already loved the Norah Jones version.
Me too! I agree😊
The way all the different instruments blend together! Amazing

Paradise!!!!
Was looking for someone to chop this up since it was taken down from youtube. Thanks Slarti.
Casey Benjamin is just as talented as Glasper and the Experiment is his best band no disrespect to the Trio but this group is in a class of there own.
Jeez, that vocoder thing freaks me out
Outstanding ❤️
Pure Art 🔥
Excellent.
Amazing! Love this version with the jazz orchestra.
RIP Casey.
