Its not that people have lost interest in watching movies post corona people still have interest in watching movies if the movie is really worth to watch in theatres they will surely come and watch first of all single screen theatres they should upgrade to the new era I mean they should renovate their theaters and make it like multiplex theatres whether it is about the seating facilities, whether it is about sound system, whether it is about screen size or any infrastructure improvements including lightings and installing Ac facilities inside the cinema hall should be done first also hygiene maintanance whether inside the cinema hall or inside and outside the washrooms as well as near the food court if you do it then surely people will get attracted towards the single screen theatres once again and they will surely come to watch movies even in single screen theatres you people can't complain on the film stars to do regularly good movies quickly release it you can't order or request or even force them because before in the movie if big stars have acted listening to the names of those big stars only people would go to watch the movie if not twice or thrice atleast once they would go and watch but now the audience taste have changed especially post corona whether big stars have acted or not in the movie thats not important for the audience important is content if that is there in movie thats it they will go and definitely watch example kantara so to make a good content oriented movie it takes time so you have to wait because good things always happens late so if good movie irrespective of whichever language it might be if it comes then buy that movie and release it in your theatre then surely people will come to theatres and before that as I said renovate your theatres like multiplex theaters it should look then people will surely come to single screen theatres otherwise you have to struggle if multiplex theatres are dominating within 4to 5years single screen theatres will get extinct and our future generation will not be knowing or cannot be experiencing the enjoyment which you get in single screen theatres one more thing is that now a movie is considered hit or flop based on box office collection not based on how many days it ran in the theatre if it ran in theatre even for 2-3 weeks also it is considered hit if the collection in the box office is really good not only recovered their budget even if they earn profit then it is considered hit those days got over when movie ran for 100days that movie was considered hit but now box office collection is important
Our so-called kannada star heroes are not making good movies & are not even promoting them properly. Except for shetty gang, nobody is making good movies. Nobody even cares about proper state-wide marketing strategies. Already kannada market is one of the lowest in Indian cinema industry, and on top of this kannada heroes are full of ego & attitude, getting into bullshit issues & not caring about making path-breaking movies. And because of all this, our vintage karnataka theatres are on a verge of extinction. If there are no good movies & good profit for them, how can they properly maintain their theatre or even renovate it to attract more audience? It is all interlinked & it's high time these so-called sandalwood stars should start making good movies, atleast 1 a year to make sure that these theatres survive. Or else, it will be the beginning of the downfall of sandalwood industry. There is only so much Yash, Prashanth Neel or Shetty gang can do. Rest of the stars have to take initiative instead kf getting into other nonsense issues.
