Great review of a great rifle. The only thing you need to alter is, when you assemble it, put the bolt in the barrel and lock it, before you tighten the two screws that holds the barrel in the reciever. This is to ensure the correct space. :-) Ohh, and you got it backwards with the scopemounts. You move it back to compensate for more clothing ;-)
I have a Sako 85 laminate stainless hunter in .308. I was going to save up for the 85 Bavarian in .243 until I watched this video, what a lovely rifle.
Thanks for your views on the S&L rifle. As a left handed shooter, I'm impressed the S&L offer pretty much all their rifles in a left bolt/left eject configuration. Though the idea of one rifle & several barrels is attractive, I'm going to buy three separate rifles in 22-250, 243 & 270, with the possibility of adding barrels in 6.5x55 & 375 Ruger as & when needed. I'll do this so that i don't have to keep moving scopes between rifles.
They are very good and well made rifles and extreme accurate. I got it in 243 win and 270 win. It takes no time to change barrels and shoot with the other caliber..
Yes, i've joined it. Got some good advice regarding actions. I was under the impression that only certain barrel types would suit certain actions but that's not correct. Was at the gunshop again on Friday checking out the 'Victory'. They're very expensive here in Australia. $3150 for the grade 1 Victory.
Morten Jørgensen You can't change barrel on the S&L Classic. - Watch out for the "DL" version.. Don't share bad advices on important issues. Next to that there is 22 different calibres interchangeable on the same lock on several S&L models. schultzlarsen.com/product/barrels/
As a keen marksman you should be more accurate & focused on your sources of information of such important issue as Rifles.. GreatDane page from Rhone shares inconsistent information leading to confusions. It is not official representation of Schultz & Larsen I advice you using their own website: schultzlarsen.com/home-3/ Pls change the link in your sources

Thank you , you will be impressed.
What rifle did you end up buying? I'm considering S&L legacy or Sako 85 laminate stainless, can't decide..

The advise is to insert and close bolt before tightening barrel bolts. This sets head space. Lovely review of a great rifle though.
Hello mate, and thank you for a informative and honest video! :)

There is also a model classic I think they are a bit less in price.
