The company has been in the spotlight in the past but as always everyone forgets and moves on because we’re all used to these companies being brought before politicians to get a good grilling, the grilled play DUMB then they lay low after and everyone forgets and nothing real comes of these giant companies and their careless doings. They get fined at best and the companies pay up but make so much it’s apart of operation. They are untouchable to the average person needing meds or a surgery! As much money as they make the ppl still complain and the company grows richer and bigger. Laws keep getting broken and they get richer for it! Now when one gets a shot to the back they all are paying attention and watching their steps. People start acting RIGHT when they feel they can be touched and that was the point of what this man did. He knew he was going to prison or else he wouldn’t have had written all this out.
If I was "incredibly affluent" and saw an opportunity to make a statement that poor people can't and felt i had nothing to lose... id do it too . For the people of this country. THIS video is so biased. You have to highlight his good looks and possible economic advantages to say that THAT’S the only reason people appreciate his actions. You are right to ask WHY so many people are not horrified by Luigi’s actions. MOST of it is NOT because he’s cute or rich. It’s because the people are hurting. Why don’t you do an episode about the illegal and immoral practices of the government and big business use to keep the powerless under their boots of power and greed.
well said... never addressing the horrible crimes of the corporates against ppl ..then when ppl finally have had enough and do something about it , they get crushed, gaslit , defamed and further oppressed instead of addressing the real issue and cause... I gues we have a sham of a democracy in which the will of ppl for the ppl does not actually exist..
Maybe that's why he was a estranged from his family. He realized his family was part of the problem. He had a problem with healthcare in general and if his family is part of the healthcare... then why would he want to be around that. Simple.
Remember folks: 1) Juries can’t be punished for a ‘wrong’ decision. 2) A not-guilty defendant can’t be tried again for the same crime. 3) Therefore, even if the defendant is technically guilty by the letter of the law, the jury can nullify the law by finding the defendant not-guilty. 4) So if we agree with the actions of the defendant even though they are illegal, we can find him not-guilty and let the defendant go free.
If change in healthcare was a priority for the higher up in order to give more people access to healthcare and improve people’s health, it would have happened long time ago.

What hypothetical line have we drawn between hero and non hero status? Would it still be heroic if someone went and killed the writer of a series that ends up killing off a really popular character? Or is that a bit much…?
Blame the US system, not the CEO. The US is the only first world, industrialised and wealthy country in the world that doesn’t provide universal healthcare. It’s literally the US way to treat healthcare as a business. Shareholders and stakeholders have expectations of the business. If that is wrong, don’t treat healthcare like a business in the first place.
If Luigi wanted to be a hero, he could have voted, protested, lobbied or even run for office! If this is such a big issue in the US, I’m sure he would have gained support.
Instead, he just went and shot someone. Blame the system. If driving change through the system has been impossible in the US, then again, blame the system.
If it took this murder to eventually make change a real possibility, then call the CEO the hero. He’s the poor cunt that took a bullet in the back.

Luigi when going to court yelled out the kind of thing you would expect out of a man that killed out of anger over not his situation but his mothers battle and feels this happens regularly because of this crooked company and it’s ceo. High profile. The public knew not of this man until he was killed.
Maybe once the rich start making moves like this real change will happen. I agree with the social media kid, we should make a statue.
And these people need a history lesson: there is no record of social change without violence. America made it that way.

Remember folks:
1) Juries can’t be punished for a ‘wrong’ decision.
I have read stories of the past that a jury acquitted the accused because they found his/her actions justified...
