Love the "muffler dump".... for town and country riding. Floorboard rubbers in good shape are hens teeth. You are a proper custodian and seem to understand it's heritage and value. Some know the price of everything and the value of nothing...good to see the rarity of balance and conservation of history. What a machine there "time keeper".👍
Sounds like an old Mercedes in-line 6 aircraft engine with that same SOHC configuration like an Albatros D-IV. Very distinctive sound which gave those old hogs a true personality. Thank you for sharing a wonderful piece of history :-)
Henderson, those elegant machines 😉... restoration done with the right attitude for what is best 😀owing such a machine MY 1929-31) would definitely be on my "last wish"-list 😂
i don't frown on people for paying people to restore bikes because at least they are in working condition, but i think to really own the bike you have to do the resto your self
What a crock...if everybody had to have the means and the ability to rebuild these things before they could own one, there would be very few of them in working order

Nice restoration, lovely bike. Always good to see them in working order.
Magnificent! I'd love to see the in-line fours return in a similar layout; yeah, it'll never happen, but they're sure cool.

Awesome vehicle and a cute Labrador? This deserves a sub!
I recall seeing a Henderson in Wiltshire when I was a kid.
I recall it as it was 1200cc.
Those straight fours run smooth....

Beautiful machine! I’d love to know the story behind how/ where it was found in South America and how you ended up with it. Very Fascinating to me!

Beautiful motorcycle! My Grandfather had the same model up to the 1920's. If you are ever interested in selling I would be interested.
I know I'm a little behind...do you ride it in the Cannonball?
what does that slider switch do? shown at 1:50
That's what i was wondering about aswell
That switch releases the exahust for more sound, anf I you close it the exhaust gases go to the muffler to silence the sound ..
+TheCarlos206 oh nice, that's a cool motorcycle.
Yep, one for riding around in town (quiet) and one for out in the country.
How many motorcycles have you?, you are a very lucky man, I think you are X men...
Thanks for many god videos.
Is the dog original paint, too?
it's working
My 74 year old neighbor has a 1917 Henderson motor. Any Idea of a fair market value for just the motor? Thanks
Hi Don. You can email me at footclutch@aol.com. I would like to speak with you about it. John

Need to stop getting close ups... stay about a foot or more away and we can see fine..
I know, I use the zoom on my Cannon, and it gets shaky and out of focus on close ups. I'll try it on the next bike.
