love the rims
my platinum got 100k miles left on warranty till I can delete
can't wait for that one!
Not sure whose tunes you're running, but some tuners you can ask for a "rumble tune." The rumble tune adjusts the turbo veins to help get rid of the hissing noise. Look up rumble tune on UA-cam and you'll see comparison videos of "rumble tune" and a "hiss tune" to get an idea.
This was a few years ago, but back then I was using an SCTX4 as the tuner, with Gear Head tunes. They weren't the best, and I'd often get random codes thrown, especially while towing. Last year I upgraded to the EZ Lynk with the SOTF tuning and GDP tunes. It's been perfect since, and I don't have that turbo vein hiss anymore either.
Lol no I have one and am thinking of doing it myself, just curious to see it first hand. If your in the vicinity of 98620 let me know
My 2015 with deletes sounds the same...love it!!!
6.7PSD I since got an EZ Lynk and GDP tunes so it doesn’t sound like this any more. I love the tunes I’m running now.
Turn the ac off and that noise goes away
This was a couple trucks ago, but once I got an EZ Lynk and GDP Tunes, that hissing sound went away.
A little late on the answer but the noise is normal..it's the veins in the turbo..diff tunes sound diff tho some do it some don't
Nice truck how much for the truck
Yes that's normal. You have a straight pipe and it's deleted, opens it up a lot more. Also the veins in the turbo. What size tires and lift are you running?
Broski I'm High thanks for the input dude. It's an 8" fabtech lift with One Up Off-road traction blocks and bars. I also have airbags and fox resivoir shocks. The tires are 38" Nitto Trail Grapplers on 24" Fuel Mavericks.
Charles Marshall No problem! Oh wow, didn't realize it was that big, I figured it was maybe a 4in lift on 35's.
Charles Marshall By the way, what brand exhaust and exhaust tip is that? also what size exhaust 4 or 5"?
where at in washington you located would like to see this in person!! i think i have seen this truck around
Straight pipe?
HeadHunter yes, but I’ve since bought a ln EZ Lynk and loaded different tunes. It doesn’t sound like this anymore upon start up.
What programmer did you use?
Charles Marshall where did you purchase from? Any idea who the custom tunes where from?
Just did the delete on my 2009 F250. I get the same sound but it is constant... doesn't go away when at operating temp. You can only hear it from the outside... inside is very little difference from before. Nice truck!
