God, this mod has to be the worst offender of “hard for no reason”. Horrid UI, unnecessary resource system, and unrealistic Soviet playthrough.
Massive kudos for managing to navigate that noise
No no, the problem is quite the opposite, namely that the Soviet playthrough is VERY realistic.
@@MajinOthinus if after 1943 or 1944 a soviet union is struggling it is a trash build (bad industry or division templates) or the mod is unrealistic
@@MajinOthinus No it isn't only people who actively fall for tge post nazi propaganda actually believe this
@@MajinOthinus Ah yes the mod is very realistic. In real life the Wehrmatch was at 71% operational capacity in *1941*. After that the soviets rolled the germans left, right and center. Quit your ideological bias and SNAP BACK TO REALITY.
@@chonkyseal9312 Was that supposed to be witty?
Anyway, sure the Soviets rolled (not the Germans though), so hard that in 1942, multiple Soviet fronts got crushed, in a matter of weeks by the German advance to the Caucasus. Must have gotten the direction wrong I suppose; it happens to the best of us~
If you like suffering as the USSR in a mod, try Hearts of Oak, only works in 1.10.8, but they released a seperate updated version which still works
Another good video College! Now try the most realistic mod whilst playing Moldova hahaha please play moldova

I love BI, but it is type of mode, where you play on 3 speed max, and spend more time on pause than without it.

People really let their biases run wild. The Soviet Union was a production nightmare, and had to be massively lend-leased to have any chance of survival. Germany is not "OP" in this mod. It's very bizarre that people want to say that Germany's production was minuscule, simply because people don't want to give credit to their brutal but effective methods. Their economy was set up similar to China's today. It clearly works, at least in terms of raw output. People also highly underestimate the level of incompetence that would be (and was) experienced in the military and economic hierarchy when you purge everyone experienced, intelligent, ambitious, etc.
The lend lease was important but not something that was a "accept or die" since the soviet union manage to outproduce the nazi by a massive amount
@@potato88872 Only after the tide was already turning. The situation in 1941 and for much of 1942 would have been hopeless without lendlease.
@@iruleatgames not realy, the soviets only needed to stall the germans long enought for the Urals factory to start out-producing the germans.
The lend lease was still important but, again, it wouldn't have change.
There is an entire channel dedicate to ww2 weeks by weeks, you should watch that
@@potato88872 With Indy. Yes, there are many problems with that series, including an extreme pro-allied bias. I recommend reading the book "The Wages of Destruction" by Adam Tooze for why this myth isn't even close to true.
Most realistic mod:
Stalin is a paranoid dictator.
Okay. Very realistic, thank you, dropped the video.
i mean? was he not paranoid? was he not a dictator?
@@Someone-lr6gu He wasn't and he wasn't. He was merely the captain of the team, CIA admitted that with sorrow. His "paranoia" is just a continuation of a fairytale about his "dictatorship". (www.cia.gov/readingroom/docs/CIA-RDP80-00810A006000360009-0.pdf)
All of this is made up so people wouldn't think about Stalin as a powerful yet good political figure and didn't adopt his views, so they associate Stalin and communism with paranoia, death and hunger. So basically propaganda. Why? Because socialist economy appeared too powerful and they couldn't fight it economically, so they started political disruption of workers' state and the movements in their own countries.
Knowing this, ask yourself, if Stalin was a paranoid dictator, why no one revolted? No one plotted against him except opportunists who destroyed the country after his demise and killing all the people who was faithful to the idea.
People literally loved him, they were drown in tears when he died. Doesn't sound like a dictatorship to me.
@@Someone-lr6gu both those aspects were overblown for propaganda purposes.
Even the CIA in "COMMENTS ON THE CHANGE IN SOVIET LEADERSHIP" admits it, as well as different Stalin's biographers.
@@yuliusseraph4973 well these characteristics are definitely overblown by some people, but he was surely a paranoid dictator who executed people he thought might betray him
@@Someone-lr6gu a lot of people killed who are attributed to Stalin's repressions were excesses made by other people, such as Yezhov, who was punished for it.
Other than this, it worth noting that there was actually a lot of betrayers and opportunists. His right hand at one point literally plotted to kill him.
On top of this, a lot of things were at stake. USSR genuinely improved people's lives, and there were a lot of internal and external threats, one of which, nazis, were going to literally colonize the USSR nations like America did to native Americans.
Stalin was paranoid, sure, but anyone in his position would be.
