I was a little nervous because I wasn’t sure if it would be bulky on me as some other LV bumbags did but the size turned out to be perfect. I am a minimalist since Covid and have significantly downsized on the items I now carry. This bumbag feels great, it looks great, very practical and secure. I like wearing it in the front the best. Only legit review on UA-cam 👍🏽. Picked one up today at a local LV and the leather is sooo soft and smooth (like a new born - Bruno Mars). My dust bag has black lettering though.

I like this one better than the women’s versions. I was considering this one or the eclipse version. I only wish this one had the same leather strap that the eclipse one has instead of the nylon strap.

I just drove to Chicago from mn to pick up the last discovery Bumbag mono. These are going to be a collectors item. They are discontinuing these bags.

I tried this on instore and it was MASSIVE, like literally an overkill size fanny pack.

Thoughts on this bag vs the Monogram Eclipse coated canvas (M44336) version? I love how lowkey this looks but am concern on the durability to scratches and creases from wear due to being calf leather. Thoughts?
I have the Damier and galaxy bumbags available if they interest you. I haven’t had any issues with the shadow one or the eclipse. Just take care of it and go for the canvas you prefer
@@ConnorLangley I purchased the shadow bag today but it already came super creased out the box (only visible when laying down, not worn) from LV. I’ve heard that the calf leather on the shadow is more fragile than the eclipse, so just worried of visible wear since this would be used often.
Thinking about going back to LV to exchange for the eclipse tomorrow morning. I like both, the shadow a little more but the durability is what’s making me want to switch for the eclipse.
@@michaelking5820 i keep the dustbag as well as some bubble plastic inside items like this to prevent creasing when it’s not in use
I personally like the shadow black calf leather because I am paying for authentic leather not plastic with leather trim. With proper care it will last a long time.

Not really. Only slight cracking if you look closely

Honestly, i don’t think many accessories are timeless. I think this bag will be trendy for a long time but not forever.
Why do some of these leather discovery bumbags have the LV print on the top and some don’t?
The newer ones (made mostly 2021 and later when microchip was introduced) are slightly smaller and they changed the design a bit where there’s monogram pattern on top as well. When they first came out it was longer (like this model) with just a plain leather top.
I just got the shadow bumbag today actually because I had the mono eclipse one but it cracked where the straps bend, so they offered me a store credit and I got the leather version instead. It also has “Louis Vuitton” printed on the nylon strap.

@@unknownsource4359I prefer the nylon strap, it’s lighter. And I’m super happy w/ the Monogram Shadow, the leather is nice and soft and I feel like it will last longer compared to the Monogram eclipse. Especially when you wear the bags, the stress on where it bends would eventually crack the canvas (in my opinion) no matter how much you take care of it. The leather on the other hand won’t have the same problem.
