I think the field goal at the end was a good call; Jake needed his confidence back after missing those first two kicks. And the Panthers defense had played well enough in the game to be able to hold the Memphis offense for those last couple of minutes.

100% The WR’s instincts to raise the ball up to protect himself as opposed to protecting the ball were not only not his fault, as it’s not something he can control but were completely justified. The DB had plenty of time and if he doesn’t know the angle to take in order to get a sound tackle then he needs to take the game more seriously. He basically celebrated giving up penalty yards, perhaps getting removed from the game, potential fine (I don’t know how the UFL handles it yet) It’s like celebrating after giving up a 3rd ‘n long in he red zone because you drew a flag from tackling the WR before the ball was ever thrown. Like wtf are you doing? lol
@@louieo.blevinsmusic4197 I think this is the 4th & 15 kickoff conversion to retain possession in lieu off an onside kick. Not sure on the rules of the attempt but thats what this situation is.

I wonder what Fisher could’ve done. With better talent now than what he had in 2022. And that team did have a few good players but not as complete as this current team. It’s just a tougher league now.

The major difference to me in watching UFL vs. NFL: more errors: more turnovers, broken coverage, broken protection.... Qualitatively different, though not necessarily less exciting. (Even more pronounced in chess: chess without errors is _really_ boring). But the amateurish feel makes you care a little less, at least so far. Still, attachment may yet increase as we get more familiar with the players and teams.
One more difference I note: so far, only one team well north of Mason-Dixon....

Memphis could have won this game if they didn’t have their heads up their butts the first half. Bet they push that through their heads at practice next week. The fact they came back to within 5 in the 4th, just makes it sting that much more.

NFL Panthers tickets last season were as cheap as UFL Panther tickets are.
@@dylankeith2833 Battlehawks games were better attended. DC was better attended pretty often. Hell, their first win against Atlanta had 4300 people so worse than the worst attended UFL game.

I would have to pick the worst team in the league...
That was not a hit on a defenseless receiver. He caught the ball, brought it in, had control of it, and got clapped. It should have been called a fumble, and if you really are going to call it incomplete there was no penalty. He timed that hit perfectly.
What he did is literally a skill in multiple Madden games including the most recent one. bad call.
Well for one whether or not it was a catch is debatable as the ball was jarred loose before multiple strides touched ground. Second, not only did he obviously launch but pretty sure pretty sure the crown landed. Either way, he launched. Video games haven’t been very good at human interpretation.

If anything, the penalty is for the helmet to helmet hit, but a "defenseless reciever" is not a thing when Ball is in hands and brought in. I agree flag but completely wrong call

The unnecessary roughness defenseless receiver was complete BS. That’s what happens when you go over the middle. I feel sorry for defensive players. Don’t hit them too hard, has become a penalty. Ridiculous.

Michigan Panthers colors date back to the old USFL. The Stallions ripped off their color scheme.
