    1. Understand the Impact and Reason for Increased Electrical Loads: Learners will be able to explain the challenges posed by higher electrical service sizes (320/400A) on individual homes and utility infrastructure.
    2. Evaluate Regulatory Requirements and Solutions: Learners will be able to explain different solutions to regulatory challenges which include building at the larger service size, singular load management, or using a smart panel with energy management software.
    3. Implement Smart Panels and Energy Management Software: Learners will understand Smart Panels and their added benefit to projects.
    4. Evaluate the National Electric Code and how to Safely Implement Smart Panels: Learners will gain the confidence to give an overview on the related code sections in the NEC related to Smart Panels at a high level.

    Speakers:
    Hayley Vero, PE ~ Sales Engineer
    As Sales Engineer - Homebuilder & New Home Construction, Hayley works with Builders, Engineers, and Specifiers to bring cutting-edge energy products to market and scale rapid adoption of SPAN products in the New Construction market, Hayley is responsible for working on system designs for new communities, training all relevant parties in products and operations, and translating product knowledge gained through deploying products in this market.
    Hayley holds a PE in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems) and prior to joining SPAN, Hayley spent 5 years working as an Electrical Engineer for consulting MEP firms on projects in the following sectors: Commercial, Healthcare, High Rise Residential, and Life Sciences. During this time she focused on the electrical design for buildings including: device layouts, electrical distribution for normal and emergency systems, coordination between trades, extensive NEC code knowledge, and more. Hayley is a strong advocate for sustainable energy and smart solutions, believing they are essential to creating a more sustainable future for all.
    Troy Daniels ~ Technical Account Manager
    As Technical Account Manager - Strategic, Troy works with SPAN’s larger account providing support for all technical aspects such as documentation, training, design review, in field support, and operational process. Troy is responsible for ensuring SPAN is installed and commissioned to the highest quality standards within these organizations.
    Prior to joining Span, Troy contracted for Discover Battery systems working on Solar Installer Relations and building out a training program and courses. After Discover Troy worked at SimpliPHI Power for over 4 years holding the ending title of Technical Services Manager overseeing the companies Support and Training programs. Troy also worked as a solar and battery System Designer at Iron Edison Battery Company, and as a Field Energy Specialist for Solar City. In addition, Troy acquired hands-on grid-tied and off-grid solar+storage installations as a contractor with Colorado-based installation companies, which informs his practical approach to technical support and system design. “My goal is to work with organizations that allow me to simultaneously pursue my passion for the environment and my fascination with renewable energy and working towards electrification requirements of the future.”
