A great 1st pizza out of the box. I used tin foil on the grill under the stone and some clay tiles also under the stone. It helped to reduce the burn under the pizza and gives better cooking time for the toppings.

Would you think it could handle a wood burning fire cook.
As I’ve experienced wood to burn hotter than briquettes.
Thanks for your content fuljy appreciate your experience in all things cooking outside

Super Simple pizza oven and it did a very nice job on that pie. It looks very easy to get good results. And as you pointed out, I could see other uses for that oven too. When you first showed it at 28", I thought "That's going on a table!" Low and behold, Tom comes through with the mod.
I also see that UA-cam hid the "Thanks" button.

Glad to see you can move it to a pizza table. It would have been helpful to see how to grill on it.

Have you ever tried this with just wood ? We have a similar oven which we only used twice and both times were a fail when we used just wood. The first time it wasn’t getting hot enough and then the second time it got up to 900° or so and either way the pizza just wouldn’t come out right or it would get stuck on the pizza peel. Maybe a charcoal in wood mixture is a little easier do you think?

I was looking at this I want something with some more room so it's more versatile, but it does look like it did a nice job on that pie Thanks Tom

I wanted to like and buy this oven, but the Amazon reviews show the paint burning off of it and it seems visible in your review as well. So that turned me away. But awesome little oven and great review as always! Just wish the quality was better.

I wouldn't let the paint deter you. Just get some high heat paint from any box store and touch it up. I would look at thicker metal, if anything.

Just a question. We recently purchased this oven. When we made our pizzas and has the oven burning there was so much soot from the fire we made. We did use just regular starter wood from the store. What should I use in the future? We do plan to do the charcoal method as well.

I've seen this one before. Looks like a nice set up but what turned me off was the 12 inch pizza stone and the short leg height. If they come out with a 16 inch stone version I might get one to replace the Walmart pizza oven. As for the short legs, I like your idea of removing the legs and put on a more reasonable table height. Pizza looks like it came out pretty darn good Tom. Looking forward to what else you can cook on this one. Thanks.

Pizza doesn’t cook evenly. In order to make Neapolitan the stone has to be around 700 degrees but since there’s nothing above the stone to retain the heat. Pizza bottom will burn prior to the top fully cooking

Great review. I think the coal being on the bottom works best. The ones with the coaLs in the back seem to cook the pizza unevenly and torch it.

Nice gadget… you need a few lessons on rolling out pizza dough! I made from scratch probably 30 pizzas from scratch for friends during the Covid lock down.. made take n bakes and left em on my truck bed for friends to pick up for free, got pretty good at rolling out crusts! Called it pizza for friends, fed a lot of families.. I now do pizza on a cast iron pizza pan on my Oklahoma bronco.. great results

Of all the pizza oven you've reviewed, I think i like that one because it cooks the entire pie instead of incinerating the back of the pizza. Here's an idea. You have done like 10 pizza ovens? Set them all up and do a quick review of all with each's positive and negative attributes?

sorry man, this is not pizza, this is rubish... Its undercooked on top. It is also ugly. This oven doesnt look good for pizza anyway, there is no flame NEXT to the pizza. Maybe its good for baking breads, try that next time
